  1. ..
    How much?
    You're already out of stock…
I love how they advertise it, but only carry a dozen @ best..
What! $750….. just for a complete upper and 3 mags..?
CMMG must be on crack, I rather go the long haul and get the original 5.7… a PS90

  2. Cool, but why?
Hey, I’d really like to change from a larger, more powerful less expensive, more common caliber to smaller, more expensive, less powerful, less common one.
    ???????????
22LR conversion makes sense but this is just… dumb. Cool, but dumb.

  3. Sorry man, but it's crazy to spend the price of a fully completed AR just so I can shoot extremely expensive ammo that I'll prolly never have a real need for. This is a product without a market

  4. 57center has been making a 5.7mm AR upper for quite some time now. I've owned an upper from them for years. 6" barrel, 50 round FN P90 mag, side charger. Top loading and brass ejects out the magwell so you can use a hollowed out mag to catch the brass. Loads of fun. But ammo is not popular and thus not cheap. It's one of my favorite firearms though.

5.7 is better than .223 for pdw work – less recoil, decent armor penetration, light weight (read better ability to carry), and who cares about the lack of range? Plinking is great fun and the lack of gas impingement means no worries about bringing the barrel under 9".

About the only downsides of this compared to a similar 9mm for plinking are the lack of ability to shoot at many indoor ranges nor shoot at steel due to its higher velocity and its higher expense.
