  1. The one thing I like is that right out of the box you can mount it on your rifle without having to buy anything else. With my surefire, I had to buy additional pressure switches. Up until recently I had to buy the pressure switch AND a way to mount that pressure switch. Not exactly a very cheap option.

  2. Oversight of the year for Streamlight is that the laser and light must both activate when the user utilizes the included remote switch. Customer service says there are no plans to change this, (Cindy @ Streamlight Sales). You might as well hang a light over your head every time you take a shot. My bad thinking that this was made for limited-visibilty engagements, this is more for castle doctrine.

  3. Ahh, the red headed model from Streamlight. I have the light only HL-X, this will be my next model, only wish would be for green light, but I'll take it as is.

The next option is way up into the $1,500 range so this is a great buy.

  4. Just a heads up for filming this kinda stuff , if your camera has auto exposure it’s not really doing comparisons justice since the brightness of shot will be changing between shots, you must lock the exposure in somehow(depends on camera) and also if you want to show the laser you will need to lower the exposure manually for showing that because the center of the beam is “blown out” aka too bright to show details.

  5. I was hoping to be able to use the light and laser functions separately with the touch pad just like you can with the tail cap. I thought maybe you could program it to, but apparently not. No biggie. Thanks for this video, it was helpful.

  6. Noob question. Would this be a viable option for a home defense shotgun? Thinking about on a Moss 930 Tactical. The 85322 with just a bead so the laser combo is enticing. Is there such a thing as being too bright in close quarters? Short of a Zombie Apocalypse, I don't see myself "reaching out" too often. Thx

  7. why would they not design the pad to do light and laser separate some how? Very new to all this. Is there an M lock attachment I can get for this too? or am I just stuck with if my hand guard has the rail only on top or bottom, thats where it has to go?

  8. What would you say is the closest competition to this? I just got it and I am not thrilled with the light as the laser isn’t easily visible . The hotspot is just too much and the laser is to weak. Any thoughts would be super cool, keep up the great channel! Cheers
