Amazon Link to the cheapest stinger 2020
I can find.
The spec’s to the run time stream light says:
high up to 2 hours (2000 lumens)
medium up to 4 hours
and low 24 hours
I have not seen those numbers with day to day usage.
I did not time it on any one giving setting
but I can say that I definitely did not get 2 hours on the highest setting nor 4 hours on the medium setting, I guess different flash lights will vary or maybe I have weak/defective batteries out of the box.
The 18650’s look like they are ran parallel from how you load em in the tray.
I may be wrong from what I said in video but it would make more sense if they were ran in series from the run time I’m getting.
I’d have to check the pins to know for sure.
Thank You all for the support and views..

On high its longer then 30 mins
2 hours on high (2,000 lumens)
Read the instructions.
Are these water resistant? If it jumps in a lake with me will it still work?
Parallel is not double the voltage, its increased amps, which is increased run time. 🙄
I need help! I just bought this model, but will it fit my holster ?
badass light , i need.
So batteries are only able to charge up to 500 times… does anyone know where to get more batteries and a separate charger for said batteries?
There are different types of 18650 batteries: button top, flat top, unprotected, protected. And that is just skimming the surface. Streamlight says they can only recommend their 18650 batteries, they must have received complaints when other 18650 batteries shorted out their flashlights. So the risk goes to the consumer when using other 18650 size batteries. Their batteries are slightly longer than other 18650's too.
does your light shine an intense blue dot at the center of the beam?
mine has a blue dot at the center, IDK if that is normal or a defective LED diode.
Yep the batteries don't last forever especially vaping
Looks like you can put 4600mah batteries in it if ya wanted to
That new stinger streamlight is sweet
Nice review Jim @Jrc54
If u put this up ur butt will u glow in the dark?
Glad your to see your videos again! This was the only one that showed up in my inbox (stupid YouTube) so now I’m gonna check out the other new ones
I love my stream lights my newest one has 18650 bats and I bought extra with a stand alone charger and if you look close at the stream light bats they have a micro usb port on the battery to charge them
Your light has battery issues is you are limited in use time. Cool flashlight and good review.
Never really got why automotive techs or diesel guys buy these. If you want a light I'd rather go with a pocket light. It's not like they're holding these bigass lights while wrenching on something that's what magnetic lights, under hoodlights and other work lights are for. Unless I'm missing something?
One drawer on you're tool box costs more than that flashlight= not expensive for you bro.
What did the card say about the run time?
So bottom line EXACTLY how many minutes do you get on high
Goes from 0 to 100mph with the content. Another great review, although every time you get a new tool my own wallet takes a hit.
Cool video 😎 how does this compare to the Streamlight Strion DS HS🤔
I carry my stinger on my hip, the weight is heavy in a pocket.
Yo there , Nice Little Lite .
Yeah I hear you on that one man seems like every other year I'm buying any other one I think I've owned every color at least once if not twice LOL
Might have to pick this up! Great video as always bro
My only complaint about my older stinger hl is having to press the button multiple times to get to low setting, so I really like that they listened to techs and added that selector switch.
Parallel, Double the amperage
Good to see you back man
I like the look of it, haven’t used my stinger in years though, it was always too big and clunky for me. Ever since I switched the Streamlight Protak HL I’ve never gone back, I’ve got 2 of em and absolutely love them their the perfect size and incredibly bright, I think 850 lumens.
I like the shape and the ability to select the intensity level before you turn it on. Unlike the older stingers starting on high and having to cycle to the lower outputs.
