  1. I have the Galil Ace Rifle chambered in 5.56. Never shot an AK but as far as compared to an AR it is more comfortable, more ergonomic, and the way it is made it's built to last. Just like an AK it is made to be abused and it is a proven platform in some of the most rugged territory, sand and hot ass temperatures. It is also very accurate. More accurate than this shooter and most.

  2. I mean you can get any of these platforms chambered in almost any round from .22 – .308 so I guess it comes down to which is most comfortable for you. I haven't handled a Galil yet but I will say that ARs are pretty easy to fix if anything does go wrong.

  3. Accuracy. Theoretically speaking, doesn't that simply come down to the guns barrel, breech and bolt? Everything else perhaps necessary for operation, but not a real factor in accuracy?

  4. Why does everybody always compare an AK 47 to an AR 15? Every time I see this I cringe. You are comparing a rifle designed in 1947 with a modern rifle. Why can’t you compare an AK 74 to an AR 15? That would make so much more sense. Instead of 5.56×45 against 7.62×39 let’s see 5.56×45 VS 5.45×39!

  5. AR The Boys' Gun.
AK Something to pickup for the "different experience".
Galil You're best friend through thick and thin.
FAL A legend that got rechambered and kind of fucked over. (Not to say it isn't a good gun as is, but it was originally planned to be made in a lighter kicking caliber, and a bit smaller. I hope DSA or SOMEONE, makes a 6.5 Grendel/Creedmoor rechambering kit, or new variant of the gun.)
Any notable battle rifles left out? Continue the string.
