  1. First time on this channel great video. I had the old trl-1 hl for years and a year with the 2020 trl-1 it's 1200 Lum's . For a pistol light this is my only choice in my book . Now for my AK I run the inforce just on and off and have for years and on my shootguns. My ar I flip between streetlight and surefire. Depending on how long I need it for . The street light last longer .

  2. I had the Streamlight TLR1 years ago and the battery cap kept breaking. I always liked how the TLR1 looked on a glock. After watching this video, I decided to buy one again. I'm hoping this time it won't break and thus far held up. I really liked the Surefire X300 indestructibility but it doesn't quite look as cool on a glock to me.

  3. I never liked the stream light. Bought one years ago and never really used it but the door latch broke for no reason from sitting in the safe. One day took it out and noticed the door loose and found the hinges on the door snapped off. Got a second door from stream light and again broke after about 6 months.

  4. Thanks for the great review! There are too many reviews by other people who just spout manufacturer specs and show it on a weapon and state an opinion without actual hard use. I just received mine last week and it will find itself on one of my pistols. I also ordered the x300u-a to put on another pistol. Once I get the chance I will have to go do some night training. I plan on purchasing a couple of holsters to see which one I prefer on my carry firearm.

  5. Like was mentioned by another individual in the comments, you can get a replacement lens cheap enough ($20). If you get this light and a couple replacement lenses it would still be cheaper than the X300. Thank you for doing real reviews on products. You do the real long-term tests that mean something. It's hard to trust a review of a product when it was used for a day and is still brand new.

  6. The world is ending soon and I don’t have an upper for my AR lower. What should I get? Want M4 or pencil barrel 16”…I sold my 6920 Colt upper because my wife forgot to pay bills.

  7. how are the olights holding up? super curious as they have been pumping them up super hard

or do they fall under the baby light category as well?

how about those guys using rechargeable batteries in their lights?

  8. I got one of those free for purchasing my FNX9 a couple years ago the light has Never failed me I like it its Super bright & easy to use it stays on my edc the only thing i found is the lens gets wicked dirty after 50rnds & I have to wipe it down

  9. My experience with a plastic lens is that if you get any bit of oil on it, it will burn a hole in the lens. Not sure when you would get any on a weapon light (happened to 2 handheld lights as a mechanic) but it’s still something I wanted to put out there. I keep my lights clean and washed off a work, but one time PB blaster residue came back on my light and did it.

  10. Whoa, I didn't know you could remove the strobe function, thats awesome. Thats one of the reasons I preferred regular tlr-1 to the hl. The battery life on the hl also sucks compared to the standard too though. Btw, airsoftgateway sells acrylic lenses that are like unbreakable. And reinforced bezels, supposedly those can break sometimes too but I've never seen it.

  11. I have the Streamlight TLR HL light on 10 different large Pistols and have never had a problem with any of them. I put them on many pistols so I can use 4 different holsters for several different pistols. As a firefighter Streamlight proved itself to me as they provided our fire dept different types of lights as well as hundreds of Fire Depts across the world. Firefighters bang coat lights against steel fire engines daily and expose them to extreme temperature changes from freezing temperatures to hot fires and water the Streamlight can take it. Streamlight knows how to make a great light at reasonable prices. Obviously Streamlight hL is not made to same standard as firefighting light but they are a legitimate light making company.
