  1. Do you recon the textured grips will peel off after 5-10 years? Or are they part of the aluminum body? Need to know if this will survive falling in buckets of coolant or oil without the grips peeling off over time.

  2. I just got my light in. Has anyone had any issues where the low and medium work but when you go to high the led blinks red and the light doesn’t come on even using both switches. Please let me know if you have this issue

  3. Great review. I'm a big fan of Streamlight as well and I loved this flashlight. Like you, I truly LOVE the selector switch type of operation and it is nice to see manufacturers starting to use those more. On a tiny little pocket light, I don't really care, but when you get up to the full sized duty lights–give me a switch!! I also agree that the battery compartment access could have been a little better. But a great light, and in all. Well done.

  4. Good info on the light. I would have liked to seen a light comparison (in use outside) with the Streamlight Protac 5 and the different light modes (Low – high). I have not been a fan on the tailight switch, I have sat on my taillight switchlight from Surefire 9N with nylon gear and the light burned through the top. I have used the streamlight charging systems for years with my stingers and ultrastingers and have not had any issues with them. Another comment, I am not a fan of the strobe system and have never used it.
