Can you comment on how the front hand guard and butt stock furniture feel? I've heard the plastic feels a bit in the chinsy side.
I just ordered one on mother's day for a total $780.00. I'm hoping everything is strait since a canter FSB seems to be an issue for Brownells from what I've read. The mismatched charging handle is sloppy on their part. They appear to run out of parts then substitute them with the wrong ones from time to time. Several complaints about people getting A2 front sight blocks on their rifles and having to return them.
Have you zeroed and tested yours out yet?
Were the early A1 rifles gray? I've seen them in person with a black finish but I assume they were newer rifles, however the receiver DID have "COLT M16A1" on it.
This is so my next gun! I doubt it will be on sale by the time I get to it.
