Montana X-Treme has a specific brush for cleaning the chamber of your AR-15. IMO, it is not a needed step in the process but there is certainly nothing wrong with cleaning the chamber. It’s your rifle so proceed the way you want. God bless and thanks for watching. Highboy

I've always felt like I get enough solvent into the chamber to clean out any soot and there's no lead or copper fouling to be removed, but it is something I should probably start doing too.
And it'll light up around corners! 😉
