  1. I like that long range set up, because myself I enjoy pulling slack out of my trigger, gives me a sort of ā€œzoneā€ moment where everything comes together in a matter of milliseconds
    Just my humble opinion

  2. My polished stock trigger is as smooth as all of them and my Joe Bob's trigger screw takes up all the slack creep one stage trigger about 3.5 to 3.8 lbs pull. Saved a ton. Every guy who has shot my rifle every one asked about the trigger they love it. I smith all my guns if needed out of the box and hand load them for max speed and accuracy. It can be a real pain in the ass some days lmao but if you step back your good to go .

  3. Great Video! I have a CMC on a 6.5 Grendel with 24" barrel and I love it. I am fairly new to the AR platform (I'm 65 years old) and I haven't tried any other brands. I'm sure they are all great. I really like the CMC's flat blade. It feels great and looks very cool. It's the best trigger of all the several dozens of rifles I have owned since the 1960's with the possible exception of my '70s Steyr 222 Rem mag with the factory double set (adjustable) trigger. A great trigger is an absolute joy! The best accessory you can buy!

  4. The geisslie can be controlled under extreme stress. If you really want to know go shooting when you're injured and in pain and stress.
G can build any trigger he wants, but he builds what was and is NEEDED by the VERY FEW that WE ALL depend on.
Part of that is avoiding friendly fire and accidental and negligent discharges that none of the other makers even think about.

  5. Revisiting this video and the authorā€™s comments, I note that the author is concerned with "wasted motion" of two stage trigger design and overtravel. Cutting my grass today wasted motion was a real issue but with triggers the wasted motion concept is foreign to what's important. What's important is pulling the trigger without disturbing aim, utilizing SMOOTH trigger control; therefore, the trigger should have qualities which support SMOOTH trigger control in the arena of shooting interest, i.e. High Power, Long Range, PRS…and the novice should seek advice from highly qualified shooters within the arena of interest to better assure a good trigger selection decision.

  6. Just s sidebar, the author alludes to over-travel as being a hindrance to good shooting. Fact is over-travel is essential to good shooting as it precludes rifle movement when the shooter pulls the trigger utilizing smooth trigger control.

  7. You've got to shoot from the standing position to comprehend trigger performance. Perhaps, that's what makes the Geissele the dominate trigger in US Service Rifle Competition. The original high-speed 2004 Geissele comes out on top for me. I can pull it SMOOTHLY without disturbing aim and its fast lock-time is an aid to follow through. Going from a KA trigger to the GA trigger my average standing score went from 92 to 95%. Creds: US Distinguished Rifleman, American High Power Rifleman (Long Range), and CMP-USAMU certified MRI coaching SDM/TTT/SAFS.

  8. I feel like the biggest reason you don't like it is because the Geissele equivalent of those other triggers the ssae. Kinda like comparing a Corolla to some muscle cars. They specifically made the SSA to do exactly what you showed in your videos. The ssae is like all the others you showed.

  9. My preference is Patriot Ordinance Factory (POF)
Much less expensive than the ones you reviewed, include KNS anti-walk pins and don't rely on set screws to sit correctly in the lower.

  10. I have a CMC Flat blade 3.5lb trigger in my AR, and I love it to death.
I got mine on sale at PSA for $95 in fall 2018 (I think it was on clearance though, as all the ones currently listed look different).
It was a total breeze to install (and it has screw style antiwalk pins). At least in my case I don't have any noticeable takeup, but I have maybe 1-2mm travel past the break.
I don't have any experience with any other brands, but I'll definitely be going to CMC first whenever I'm in the market for another trigger group.
