VERY EASY WAY TO TIGHTEN UP THE PLAY IN AR15 CARBINE STOCK. This should work with any adjustable stock. If it still wobbles with this strip, try making strip wider.
UPDATE: i NOW USE A 1/2 INCH WIDE STRIP.

Nice and simple. 👍
I just put 4-6 layers of masking tape on my buffer tube, where you put the strip of plastic and it did the job. I like masking tape for filling up space on things.
Appreciate the inspiration.
Oh hell yes! and 2lite club soda bottles work great too! It was all I had. Took about 90% of my wobble.
You dont want wiggle ? buy quality, BUY HK 😉
jesus this guy is serious? the ak guys got the issue of mag wobble….lol now this
Fantastic. Eliminated 3/4 the wobble I had. Thank you. The Velcro trick did not work on my rifle.
GG THANK YOU
Great idea!
Looks nice and snug. Thanks.
Thanks for the helpful video. Was able to tighten up my MOE Carbine stock super quick using this method. I like that it does not require any permanent modification to the buffer tube or the stock and does not leave a sticky residue like tape does (if removed).
A strip of Gorilla tape along the top will hold better than electrical tape. It has secured my AR for over a year. However, once I set the stock position, I left it there.
Stipple the inside of the stock. It raises the inside just enough to cause a firm hold on the buffer tube.
I fixed this problem by buying a more quality stock. But this is a neat DIY method.
Have been using small zip ties, inserting them from the rear on my mp. This should solve the problem permanently, thanks.
I tried a similar method and after several times collapsing the stock the plastic just fell out the back and rattled inside the stock, I have found just a couple strips of electrical tape works very well and last for pretty long time.
amazing!
