I still run a CompM2. Love it. Battery lasted from when I met my girlfriend, dated her for 3 years, got married and had a kid. So like 4 years
I cringe when gun guys use their trendy words like "run" or "kit" or "operator". And shave off those hipster beards too, butboys!
Be curious to know some of the differences between the Aimpoint PRO be, say, a Vortex Sparc AR
Over a $200 price difference between those two optics.
I'd love something durable and reliable but I don't have that kind of dough.
Ive had my pro on my m4 for 2yr 4mo with the sight on at level 7 brightness. Still havnt changed the battery. Lets see if it goes the 3yrs they say it will
There is aimpoint and then there is everything else. I will never buy eotech products ever again
Mrgunsngear I have a few questions. Do you prefer this over the trijicon MRO, or do you prefer a scope, and if you do prefer a scope, out of the aim point pro and the trijicon MRO which would you choose?
1st 47 seconds was a complete waste of time
I just purchased one of these but there seems to be a problem. From the off position and the next four positions there isn’t a red dot visible. The last five positions have a strong clear red dot. I’m new to this so maybe I’m doing something wrong. Any advice from those of you that have experience with the Pro is much appreciated.
For all from Garand Thumb: Change batteries everytime you get laid
my battery is still going strong for 4 years
Would you say it’s worth the extra money to get the aim point pro over the holosun 503c
Would this be a sweet optic for my Mini 14?
"Your back yard"??? That's freeking outstanding! I'll have to watch the video again cuz I zoned on the landscape.
Just bought this with a Larue qz lever Mount, see how it works!
As usual, GREAT review, thanks. Can you please do a "Selecting a Red Dot for an AR video? Not specifically looking for which brand best/which model best type stuff, just what should we be looking for (aka red dot size, weight of unit, clarity, battery life…). What else should we look for/compare?
Is it just me or is this guy Johnny Sinz?
Selected those for rifles at work, and I own one personally. Tough, holds zero, always works. I’d say even if money is no object, this is a solid choice.
So just out of curiosity, between the PRO and the MRO, which would you ultimately suggest for a shooter wanting to get into the big name optic market?
IMO the PRO is the best bang for your buck in regards to red dot sights. I have two, and they are rock solid kit. I keep tempting myself to upgrade to a T2, or Comp M4/M5, but I can't justify the purchase because the PRO is that good.
My biggest problem with this is that I just don't know how to make sure the optic is level if I ever change mounts or, like you said, add the blue loctite.
That is your backyard? Wish I lived in paradise!
How close is this to a comp m2 dimensionally
If I turn it off while not using the rifle an turn it back on will it hold zero ?
With halosun being so affordable I could never justify going back to an aimpoint.
I'm gonna be buying this one as my first optic for my first rifle, thanks for the review!
Compared to the Sightmark Wolverine?
I had one at basic training. let me tell you it performed miracles. people who couldn't shoot to save their lives with irons were able to shoot like experts with an aimpoint on. They also were nearly, nearly, indestructible. I put mine through so much abuse, and it always stayed working without a doubt.
Did Aimpoint bring back the battery/windage cap strap? I just got one through optics planet today and it has the old-school strap so did I just get an old optic?
Do some reviews on DI optics. Just purchased the EG1 and would love to hear your take in it.
Still waiting for you to upload the 2-300 hour stream of Aimpoint PRO footage dubbed over with some LOFI Hip-Hop ☹️
I have 2 of these. For a $400 red dot they cannot be beat. Aimpoint quality and it comes with the QRP2 quick detach mount already attached-literally plug and play without having to buy a decent aftermarket QD mount.
Considering this one myself.
390 for a Aimpoint Pro with free shipping right now. That’s budget and on par with what he said in the video and he also titled it for serious use. If you’re putting it on your 10/22 than yea maybe stick with the under 100 “budget” optics
Hey Mrgunsngear, do you happen to know offhand what the recommended torque values are for those ring screws on the standard mount if I did back them out to loctite them?
Awesome thanks for the Ak love
The trijicon MRO is the superior optic for the money tbh, cost less than aimpoint has the same battery life and it's a bomb proof Trijicon made in the USA.
How about a solar power red.dot
Looks great!
First
Trijicon MRO is better in almost every way.
I am not wealthy by any means I work full time delivering drywall and go to school full time at SDI School of firearms technology. I just closed on a house. It's all about how you budget your money. I just saved until I bought a aimpoint along with a bunch of other nice optics like some Leupold VXR scopes that I have. If you budget your money and are determined to get something then you will be able to do it no matter how much money you make. I've played the buying garbage optics game and have broken lots. I'd rather have iron sights for a year then buy a 150 dollar optic that could possibly have issues.
great review, I have been running this optic on my Colt 6920 for the last 5 years and it has been amazing!
Flagged!!! For bad assery!
Reported for engaging in depleting my bank account. You are promoting keeping me broke and happy.
I actually already have this optic. Had one when they first came out, sold it and bought another one for my pistol this year. It’s a really good choice.
Which rifle are you holding?
