  1. Be curious to know some of the differences between the Aimpoint PRO be, say, a Vortex Sparc AR
Over a $200 price difference between those two optics.

  2. Mrgunsngear I have a few questions. Do you prefer this over the trijicon MRO, or do you prefer a scope, and if you do prefer a scope, out of the aim point pro and the trijicon MRO which would you choose?

  3. I just purchased one of these but there seems to be a problem. From the off position and the next four positions there isn’t a red dot visible. The last five positions have a strong clear red dot. I’m new to this so maybe I’m doing something wrong. Any advice from those of you that have experience with the Pro is much appreciated.

  4. As usual, GREAT review, thanks.   Can you please do a "Selecting a Red Dot for an AR video?   Not specifically looking for which brand best/which model best type stuff, just what should we be looking for (aka red dot size, weight of unit, clarity, battery life…).  What else should we look for/compare?

  5. IMO the PRO is the best bang for your buck in regards to red dot sights. I have two, and they are rock solid kit. I keep tempting myself to upgrade to a T2, or Comp M4/M5, but I can't justify the purchase because the PRO is that good.

  6. My biggest problem with this is that I just don't know how to make sure the optic is level if I ever change mounts or, like you said, add the blue loctite.

  7. I had one at basic training. let me tell you it performed miracles. people who couldn't shoot to save their lives with irons were able to shoot like experts with an aimpoint on. They also were nearly, nearly, indestructible. I put mine through so much abuse, and it always stayed working without a doubt.

  8. Did Aimpoint bring back the battery/windage cap strap? I just got one through optics planet today and it has the old-school strap so did I just get an old optic?

  9. I have 2 of these. For a $400 red dot they cannot be beat. Aimpoint quality and it comes with the QRP2 quick detach mount already attached-literally plug and play without having to buy a decent aftermarket QD mount.

  10. 390 for a Aimpoint Pro with free shipping right now. That’s budget and on par with what he said in the video and he also titled it for serious use. If you’re putting it on your 10/22 than yea maybe stick with the under 100 “budget” optics

  11. Hey Mrgunsngear, do you happen to know offhand what the recommended torque values are for those ring screws on the standard mount if I did back them out to loctite them?

  12. I am not wealthy by any means I work full time delivering drywall and go to school full time at SDI School of firearms technology. I just closed on a house. It's all about how you budget your money. I just saved until I bought a aimpoint along with a bunch of other nice optics like some Leupold VXR scopes that I have. If you budget your money and are determined to get something then you will be able to do it no matter how much money you make. I've played the buying garbage optics game and have broken lots. I'd rather have iron sights for a year then buy a 150 dollar optic that could possibly have issues.

  13. Reported for engaging in depleting my bank account. You are promoting keeping me broke and happy.
I actually already have this optic. Had one when they first came out, sold it and bought another one for my pistol this year. It’s a really good choice.
