  1. Hi Vortex Team and product owners! Can you please show a picture or video or any link showing how the sight picture looks like with an A2 front sight. I'm very much interested with this sight because I have astigmatism. Thanks a lot.

  2. Thanks Jimmy, my Spitfire was delivered just this week and it appears to be very well made. The only issue I was concerned about was if the A2 front sight post was going to blocking the reticle, but it is of no concern now that it is mounted. Now if the rain would just stop…

  3. Great choice! I have this on my S&W M&P, and absolutely love how fast you get on target, with, or without illumination! Now if only y'all would make it, with adjustable 1x to 3x or 4x for my Scout bolt action rifle. Also, that solid dot with range marks works whether or not the illuminator is on. Who could ask for a better scope, that works 100% of the time?

  4. Vortex, if you could, please help me out with this. I have numerous conflicting reports about the eye relief and the ability to forward mount the Spitfire 1X on a rifle. Even this video show the 1X version being forward mounted on the picatinny rail (at 0:08). I am very interested in buying this red dot for my ar pistol, but only if i can forward mount it.

  5. Hi. Can the 3x spitfire be used in combination with a vortex 3x magnifier? will this give me a 6x mag?Is Vortex a Chinese company? The bottom of your spitfire in the video says made in china.

  6. I bought the 1x for a brand new mini-30. I just picked up the rifle today and the Spitfire was on the front step when I returned home. Pure luck but perfect timing. I'm not sure how this will work with the mini-30, Vortex puts a lot of emphasis on it being for the AR platform. I thought about the Spark II red dot, but I like that the reticle is still there on the spitfire if the electronics fail. I bought this purely because of a recent purchase of a pair of Vortex Diamondback 10×42 binoculars, I love em, crystal clear and feel well made.

  7. I hate to say it, but this "made in China" optic has put to rest any US made optic I have had the opportunity to test against it. Redfield optics is a close second but they just recently started making their optics in the US. I never messed with vortex until the shop I work at became a dealer. And I must say I am blown away by what you guys are making. Truly top notch stuff! Love the PST and Viper! And the ceasefire and diamondback are very impressive for the cost. My only complaint is that your PST line is always back ordered.

  8. 1-3 settings are seriously pointless they're non existent. I took back my burris 3x only for your vip warranty but honestly the burris seemed better as far as the setting go. They emailed me back and said they bumped the warranty from 1 year on there electronic sights to the full forever warranty. That was after I returned to bass pro after driving 300 miles round Trip. Should of bought off Amazon but figured I'd support local area stores instead. Drive another 120 miles to small gun shop who actually stocked the spitfire 3x again instead of ordering off Amazon and now the setting Sucks on the vortex unit. Deeply saddened.

  9. Jimmy J…..
Just wondering why they didn't stop the vertical line at the 500yrd mark ?? Why continue down after that point and make the sight picture more busy ?? I haven't fiscally looked through one yet, but deffiently a STRONG consideration.

    Thanks

  10. On every video I've seen of this thing the only thing mounted to user's rifles is the scope, will a flip up iron sight work with this? I mean not to cowitness obviously because that doesn't work with magnified optics but will it fit behind it and still be able to have proper eye relief?

  11. I initially wasn't sure if I had purchased a quality product online a few days ago, but after seeing your website and watching this video I know I made the right choice for optics on my newly purchased AR-15 (S&W M&P 15). Can't wait to zero it and try my new Vortex Spitfire 3X out. Being a newbie to AR's, you can expect some questions from me.
