In this video we discuss the “one shot zero” and how to save time and money at the range getting a rifle on paper and properly sighting in. Chad discusses a few different points to consider with various rifles but the basic concept is the same. Stay tuned, much more on the way.

You know the brainwashing is severe when everyone only does "Muh 100 yard zero."
Shoot one round, hold the gun in place and move the reticle over the first impact. Rifle shoots wherever it shoots. You are just aligning your reticle over the point of impact. This is how dragunov scope and some simpler scopes are zeroed.
You’re off target and you’re like “boom, zeroed”.
Great Video.
“Do the opposite. Go down and left.” Animation moves up and to the right ? So which is it?
I haven't found any skill on YouTube since rex. I must start my own channel. this begins tomorrow.
i have been doing this for over 30 years, it the only way for me to sight in..it quick and easy and a whole lot less ammo.. I have lots of people come to me before season ..to sight in their gun,s..for them… first video i have seen on here.. i personal think it the best way!!! great vid..
Cool that’s is the best way done all my scopes works every time Thanxs from the UK 👍😀😀
I was always taught to use a three shot sighting to get it right… works every time. But I like what you have shown and will try it next time.
Good info.
excellent video. thanks for sharing your expertise.
Marlin 336/35 rem still my favorite

If you made the adjustment that the animation depicted at 6:02 you would be shooting over the target and nearly 3 units to the right.
The animation, based on starting from the bulls-eye should have been down and to the left
Made this way to complicated, shoot at center, aim reticle at hole, adjust dials till its centered
Im still so confused. He said down and and left, but why were the crosshairs going to the bullet hole? Which is up and right? Sorry new to this.
Thank you
Could you say the word 'literally' a few more times? Thanks.
so how do i set up a red dot on a handgun?
I was taught to use a vise/ lead sled and sight in on the target and fire a round. If your gun has moved re-sight in on target and then dial your scope to where the bullet hit. You are now zeroed.
Great video, very informative. Thanks….
Iraqveteran8888: That's GREAT Chan On Bore Sighting Sir………….JESUS is LORD
I don't even look through the bore, I line up my scope with the center, shoot the first shot, line up with center again and adjust scope radical and windage to center of shot, scope is now aligned.
This one was painful to watch
A dude named Remington is shooting a Ruger?
So… boresight was useless…. Because the real zero was done the tradicional way 🤭
Rifle in a secure rest. Fire one shot at the target. Adjust the elevation and azimuth (windage) to put the cross-hair on the bullet hole. Done. Or fine tune it with a group of shots and put the cross-hair in the center of the group.
Great video, thank you.
He went from 3 to 5
Awesome video
This is how I learned to sight in my rifles. It works damn well
Good advice. I learned this from my uncle with my bolt actions. Good on you. REMEMBER guys, most people we want to be with us, don't have any experience with firearms. We all need to bring the new generation in.
Gtreat video, I needed that information about 50 years ago… Lots of .22 LR shots fired to align my scope up.. Same with my deer rifle… So simple… lol
What I want to know is who would watch this entire video and then dislike it? lol. I always give a thumbs up to these dudes.
Great video
Thanks for sharing your expertise.

lol
Not all ammo shoots straight…..and not all guns are stable when firing…..watch a rifle in super slow motion….gun is shaking before the bullet comes out of the barrel…..50 cent piece groups at 200 to 250 or further is good enough
Blablabla Shoot 1 @ 20 yards fix scope, shoot 1 @ 50yards fix scope, shoot 1 @ 100 yards, wow 3 shoots and 3 minutes Done 😉
Is it 50 yards from end of muzzle, or 50 yards from shooter? I can't figure that out anywhere on the internet.
I just bought PSA AR-10 Gen 3 last night, when scope comes in, I need to come up to your range and let you sight it in for me.
