The Nikon ATB (All Terrain Binoculars) Monarch binoculars are a fantastic value for your money. All Nikon Monarch ATB high reflective prism binoculars are 100% waterproof, fog proof and shockproof with fully multi-coated lenses for outstanding clarity and a wide field of view. They are also relatively light for their size so if you are a hunter, backpacker or bird watcher you can easily carry these binoculars all day long without them weighing you down. The binoculars themselves are ultra rugged and can take just about anything you can throw at them. They are coated with a rugged rubber coating and come with both ocular and objective lens caps. There is little difference between the Nikon Monarchs and a high end binocular in both construction and image quality. Get your Nikon Monarch ATB Binocular at OpticsPlanet.com NOW!

  1. I have had 10×42 monarchs for years now and I'm a happy customer. As a successful Coues whitetail hunter, I can think of no better bang for the buck. Nikon's customer service has kept me. $10 bucks for the one eyecup repair… I'm sold. Next pair will be 16 or 20x but definitely Nikon.

  2. From experience I've found many issues with all the newer Nikon binoculars. Good optics is one thing, but the handling in field and how long they last is something completely different. The most irritating design aspect of these is the cheap eyepiece cover that does not stay on. It will come off all the time and offer poor pretection to the eyepiece glass. Build quality is mediocre or even terrible. The o-ring seals on the eyepieces will last around 8 months (of moderate use) before they come out in pieces rendering the binoculars almost useless. This is covered by warranty of course but repair can (as in my case) take up to two months. The optics are good or even great but unfortunatelly offer a quite narrow view. Beware of these issues and only buy the Nikons if you get a really good price.

  3. Completely agree. I have the Monarch 5 ATB 12X42's and agree that they are +95% of what you will find in 1,000.00 optics. Perform very well in low light. Can't beat them for the money. Ocular lens caps are an absolute joke but don't let that stop you from buying these. Great on a tripod.
