Tips for setting up your BUIS on an AR-15. With the front sight up and using the optic as a gigantic ghost ring it can be a good “insurance” policy.

blah blah blah
So, say you have a fixed front post gas block; What rear sights or reflex sights would you recommend for a setup including that? I've been having difficulties finding suitable options where the cowitness is absolute.
I'm torn between co-witness and lower 1/3 for my MRO on my home defense rifle, I know it depends on each facial structure and personal preference but which do you choose and why? @Mrgunsngear

This is exactly what I was trying to teach my brother. With the optic mounted co-witness the front sight can stay up all the time in case of a failure
i cant see anything with my rear sight flipped up!! i have to tilt my head sideways just to see the front sight with my rear cranked all the way left! any body tell me what im doing wrong? should i move my rear sight up some? have A2 front sight flip up back, ruger 556
Still not sure if I should get the DD fixed front sight or a flip sight like these? I don’t have any experience woh either with an EOTech. Just don’t want to waist the money if I hate the fixed sight.
You are correct . With a CONSISTENT cheek weld you can use front sight only with surprising accuracy
What about zero shift through the optic if u have qd, is it enough to worry about? If so do u zero thru the glass or without?
Ha ! He's talking about an aim point going down … lemme know when that happens lol ! Great vid man !
Totally makes perfect sense to me. Great video! Just ordered some iron sights for my AR but I had not thought of this particular setup method. Thanks!
not sure if you answered this or not on here yet but are these flip ups magpul mbus gen 1 or 2?
Thanks for the lesson. I appreciate the methodical way in which you get your message out. I learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks!
Would you prefer or recommend the Troy HK or M4 style to cowitness with an Eotech optic ? Thanks
Do you like the tritium based Troy irons?
back up sight placement. put the fron sight ALL the way out to the end of the flat top and where do you put the rear sight?
says how to set up BUIS ??? Where's that video
Another good video my friend, im doing a ar build, 20 inch pre ban heavy barrel with f marked front sight base, a3 flat top upper with t marks, how many of the flip up rear sights will work with this setup? just a backup plan for my scope, varmint rifle, 5.56, Thank You and God Bless America
i put on some mp5 sights on a rifle with an aimpoint patrol in its low mount setting and they co witnessed perfectly. Looks like an hk 416 set up.
