  1. 68moa is about 68 inches at 100 yards, right? That's 5'8": roughly the height of the average adult man (globally speaking.) That means (theoretically) we can also use the donut of death as a range-finding reticle, too.

  2. I have a Comp M4s and a Eotech EXPS 2.0 on different rifles. 100% I can pickup the reticle way faster on the Eotech. The 2 MOA dot on the M4S can be hard be hard to pickup initially on a bright day, especially if the background is busy. Its not bad and I pickup it up pretty quick, but with the Eotech it is instant.

Also it has a better "field of dot" not a field of view. Meaning your head does not have to be as perfectly positioned as it has to be behind something like a T2 to see the dot.

  3. I really dislike Eotechs. Just not my style and that's a good thing considering price. Field of view sucks and its pointless to have on a high brightness setting. I'll stick with Vortex and Holosun. I also dislike green reticules especially in low light situations

  4. The “experts” have definite opinions on their dot sights. Karl at Tac Rifleman swears by EOTech. Larry Vickers Aimpoint. I haven’t tried an EOTech but would go green. I use Trijicon HD on most pistols and green front sight suits my eyes best. Not a green zealot but if spending my dinero that’s what I choose.
    Great review.

  5. Dear mrgunsngear
Love your channel! I enjoy the humor! I understand your a educational channel. But the subtle humor adds to the entertainment factor! Best regards

  6. I have found with this type of reticle (on a Holosun not eotech) the dot blooms significantly less with the circle dot than just with the dot. I don’t know if it breaks up the light going into my eyes differently with slight astigmatism or what.

  7. I love this reticle. I run Holosun due to cost. All of the torture tests has made me trust them & ive never had an issue but it’s the same reticle. I pick it up much easier than a red dot. I’m cross eye dominant which makes it harder for me to pick up a plain dot. Also, the bottom of the Donut gives you an automatic height over bore adjustment for inside 10 yards.
