  1. I watch Garand Thumb. When he does a normal 2 point sling to shoot right handed he hooks the front on the left side and the back on the right side of the stock, your stock has a qd mount on it. Then you can move the gun to your left shoulder without choking yourself

  2. You need to back that flashlight up a tad. It won't shadow, and it won't catch all that blast residue that it's fixin' to where it is now. You might also like it mounted from the other side. I'm curious as to why you would mount it on your grip side/strong hand side in the first place. You're crowding your grip. I'm with you on not liking the switch, but for a different reason. That curly-q cord is pretty "early 90's" and there's a lot of it. If you take a rifle class (with experienced instruction), it's going to open your eyes on the importance of that sling, and what you can do with it.

  3. I know it's not a BCM, but my PSA witht their premium line of parts, 14.7" FN CHF barrel, MPI/HTP shot peened BCG. That rifle has shot very well not a single malfunction in over 3,000 rounds in just over a year maybe of shooting. It's my favorite rilfe to shoot, I shot it more than my pistol build which I sold to fund a nice scope for my LR-308 build. Great video, thanks.

  4. Cool little set up. But my question is, if you don’t like the magnetic pressure plate that comes with the light, then why don’t you put the lights on the right side of the barrel??? That would basically eliminate the risk of your hands/fingers/knuckles knocking it off.

  5. Just put the light on the other side of the barrel and use your thumb on the on/off button. That way you eliminate the switches and the problem that come with them.

  6. I didn’t think seals would use a muzzle brake? I bought a brand new Recce 14 ELW From copper custom. Awesome company.. my BCM Would not take a fully loaded 30 round mag, no matter what type of mag, it had to be 29 rounds.. if I locked the bolt back and inserted the ful 30, chamber a round, and fire it would malfunction EVERYTIME. It also had 4 failures with quality brass ammo in the first hundred rounds. My wife kept calling it garbage. Also it wouldn’t shoot steel cased ammo at all.. I don’t normally shoot steel case but I like to know my rifle can in a pinch.. I tried calling BCM like 5 times, no answer. Found out on the forums they don’t really answer their phone for us normal guys, you have to email.. so I wasted half a day emailing back and forth all to have them say these issues are likely because I added a BAD Lever.. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.. anybody knows a bad lever will not do all that.. so I took the bad lever off, wasted more time and money at their recommendation and the rifle had all the same malfunctions, OF COURSE.. By that time I was sick of it got rid of it at a loss.. I would have gotten another because I know everyone makes the occasional lemon, but the not talking on the phone and the bad lever bull was RIDICULOUS. I like this channel, but keep In mind guys, BCM Often pays most guntubers to promote the rifle and or sponsor or send them product.. Daniel defense doesn’t do that, which is just as good if not better but that’s why you don’t see DD Vids like this one all over the YouTube .. TONS of good rifles, no need to stick to one brand because it’s spread all over UTUBE via sponsors. Thanks for the vid.. PS I Think I still have the emails from BCM.

  7. Another great review. Try running your BCM Gunfighter fore grip reversed. I prefer it backwards, pulling it back into the shoulder. Also check out Cloud Defense light setups, they are the best in the market. And of course Vickers Blue Alpha gear slings are my favorite.

  8. Lumens are a useless measurement. What matters are the candela measurement. Which tells you how far out you can throw your lumens. Or another way to explain it would be how far away from the light source can you still easily identify what your looking at. I suggest you start including that in your videos if you can find the information. A lot of manufactures will not disclose the candela rating because it's very poor. I would rather have a 300 lumen light with a high candela rating then a 2000 lumen light with a low candela rating.

  9. I'm running the Arisaka Denfense offset scout mount with the Cloud Defense light control system with the Streamlight Protac Rail Mount HL-X 1000 lumen light. The Arisaka offset scout mount brings the light super close to your hand guard. Paired with the Cloud Denfense LCS system, there is no cleaner system that manages the wire better with no zip ties needed. Also I mounted my light on the right side of my rifle, as it's out of the way when I use my left hand to grip the hand guard. My thumb then lands right on the pressure switch that comes with the Protac Rail Mount HL-X. You will love this setup! For a sling I'm running the Ferro Concepts Slinster on one rifle and the Sheriff of Baghdad (S.O.B.) B sling.

  10. You could take the gator clip off of your sling and attach the sling directly to your qd sling loop. That way it doesn’t rattle around, but I know you’re still playing around with it.

Edit: they also make a single point convertible attachment like you mentioned with the qd sockets so you wouldn’t need the gator clip at all

  11. I would recommend trying out the advanced gunslinger armament HIT sling. It's a convertible sling that is always attached to you and very quick to convert without ever losing control of the rifle. Look it up on youtube great vids of it. I would also attach a sling to that rear qd plate right by the buffer tube as well.

  12. rear mount that sling to the QD on the base plate and those shoulder transitions will get a ton smoother. Also, dropping the buttock under your shoulder for a high ready is also better. It just don't pull the sling around nearly as much

  13. Hey brother, try and set up your sling so that when you draw from low ready, the sling is perfect length. Then when you lengthen the sling using the tri glide, it allows you to be able to move the rifle to off hand and not get choked out. You can also swim in and out of the sling if need be. Happy shooting! Gdub

  14. That tail switch dilemma is why people mount the light on the opposite side they grab the gun. As long as the pressure pad is up top it doesn’t really matter where the light is. Move it around see what you think.
