This is a quick unboxing and overview video of the Nikon Monarch Sport Optic, model number 8425. The magnification is 5-20x44SF with the BDC reticle. SF stands for side focus and BDC stands for Ballistic Drop Compensator. The glass is perfect! It comes with a variety of knobs, a sunshade, a cleaning cloth, and all paperwork. Nikon has a lifetime warranty! I will be adding this to a rifle soon! I will post videos as I get further in the project. Thanks for watching!

Where did you order this I'm looking fo a Monarch 3-12 power.
I just ordered mine through SWFA for $419. I am really exited. I just picked up my Tikka T3 Lite 300wsm and cant wait to reload and see what velocity comes out at the barrel. Once I have that I can go to the Spot On Site and input all the data about the cartridge and print out the ballistics chart which tell me which lines and circles to use at all distances up to 600yrds.
Thanks for the feed back. I'm looking to put a 2.5-10×42 onto a 22 Hornet, I soot wallabies (small kangaroos) and the shots are often in very low light so I need something with good light transference but without the price tag of a Zeiss or similar.
How was it in low light?
I sold the rifle and scope a few months back. I will say though that this was one of the clearest scopes I have had any experience with and with over 300 rounds of .308 through the rifle, it held true. I will be buying another one of these in the future when I build an AR-10. Thanks for the comment and best of luck finding the scope that will work best for your application.
So it's been a year, how is it in the field?
@MrSilvershoot Its a beautifully clear scope and WELL worth the money spent! I have only put about 10 rounds through the rifle, but am 100% satisfied with the purchase! Best of luck to you! Post your video of your scope as a video response so I can check it out!
@mariogodreaudraft I do really like it, especially for the price that I got them for and I had to move the scope forward for better eye relief. Have you had problems with yours?
