A comparison of 2 excellent AR-15 style 22lr rifles. The Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 and the BushMaster Carbon22. I list Pro’s and Con’s for each. And a list of common Pro’s which is a pretty long list.
I paid $375 for the S&W M&P 15-22 Sport and $366 for the BushMaster C-22.

  1. Apart from the SDVE line, which is crap, Smith and Wesson is where it's at. I can't believe how affordable they are. I have 3(22 compact, 223 sport, and .40 mp.) The 15-22 will be my next gun.

  2. A HUGE con against the C22– can't find it in stock anywhere online (not even on Bushmaster's webpage). Think it may not be in production anymore. It looks good, but forced to go with the M&P.

  3. My brand new 10/22 had to be a lemon. Worst gun that I own. Other people seem to love them. I finally got it to run bulk ammo 95% reliably. It would only run CCI Velocitors, when I first bought it. It's still not very accurate, tho. My Marlin blows it away. Even my $100 Rossi will out shoot it. So, I decided not to waste a good scope. I replaced the scope with a 5 MOA Walmart red dot. Hell, it did good to shoot 5 MOA, with the scope on it. lol Ruger should be embarrassed…

  4. Just want to say thanks and I really enjoy your videos. I have a Performance Center 15-22 so it has a few shop mods but I have shoot the standard 15-22 and there is not much difference until you start going down range. They are great guns and for me I have 5.56's so I only wanted a 22 but I wanted it to be as close to the AR as you can get in a 22 and the S&W is it. The only problem I have had is with the firing pin breaking I would say between 1500 and 2000 rounds but I called S&W told them the problem and they mailed it out to me I have broken 2 and the last time I asked for a spare and they sent it. I will say after the last pin that broke there were about 4500 rounds on the gun I have run at least 3000 rounds on the 2nd replacement pin and no problem so maybe they have changed something about them.

  5. My 15-22 is surprisingly accurate, typically shooting bulk ammo at about 1.5 MOA! One of the most fun per dollar guns out there, and very few malfunctions with most ammo.

  6. I absolutely LOVE my s&w 15-22… so does everybody I let fire it off. I grew up with all types and brands of .22 rifles and the 15-22 I by far in my opinion the standout rifle. I fully recommend it to anyone experienced or not you will not regret the purchase I promise

  7. Thanks for showing my username (brett248vista) from the Smith Forums on your video. I still have all of those old videos on the firearms section of my channel but I did change my channel name.

Fantastic video comparison of two great rifles! Subbed!

  8. I am looking for a 22 but I just don't like the polymer I would rather have all metal or as much metal as I can any thoughts on what I should get I'm not really into the 10/22 so if anything it would be a ar type 22 or something like a mp5 or who knows

  9. Thanks, been waiting for this video. So many issues to weigh here when making a decision between the two, mags, lowers, sights, hand guards. I would like to say I'd go with the C-22, mainly because I like to go against the grain, but by the time I dumped that front site post and changed the hand guard, I'm far better going with the 15-22 . Thanks for dong the comparison video, very interesting and great work as usual

  10. I gotta say I really love my smith and Wesson 15/22! But that bushmaster c22 dang it! I gotta have it too. Oh well I don't think you can have too many sweet rifles. Thanks for the great review, and have a great thanksgiving .
