Basically a review discussion of my Nikon Monarch 5-20x44mm SF BDC – reticle riflescope, for the new precision tactical bolt-action Sniper Rifle System, my Manners T5A AAC-SD .308 !! I mentioned before I would be giving a few discussion-style videos which don’t feature much video-interaction but more discussion style and that is basically what I am doing here. HUGE VALUE in Nikon, from their ProStaffs to their Monarchs and Buckmasters and beyond!

  1. I do agree with you. I have a Vortex Viper on my Savage Model 12 BTCSS in .223 and it is an awesome scope!! However I just bought a Savage model 10 Predator Hunter Max-1 in .22-250 and will put a Monarch 5 on it. I think they are both great scope and I'm sure will give me a life time of accurate shooting. Keep the Vid's coming 🙂

  2. Could not agree more, I own one (except the Monarch 3 ver) – if new buyers are considering, go to Nikon.com fire up the Spot-On app (free to use on site via PC or Tablet) and get comfortable with the ballistics calc, different brands of ammo, different weights, etc. – then print your BDC calc, you can then cut your values in half on the printout and further fine tune (get more granular measurements) the BDC calc-card to take to the range for reference data. I made one for 0=100yds. + 0=200yds.

  3. Yeah it was actually filled with stuff, the flip up caps, the sun shade, a very large Nikon microfiber lens cloth, a whopping *THREE* sets of turret covers- TWO SETS of target turrets like a military sniper would use for 'dialing in" distance, both short turrets, tall turrets, AND Another set of "regular" turrets AND COVERS for them so if you lose or screw up… PLUS a full featured BDC explanation book and the regular instruction book. Just a really great package for a very basic price. Thx!!
