Tomorrow, the Senate Judiciary B Committee is scheduled to consider pro-gun legislation, House Bill 281. Please contact committee members and urge them to support House Bill 281 when it comes up for a vote.
House Bill 281, sponsored by Rep. Blake Miguez, removes vague language in Louisiana’s existing preemption statute to prevent a patchwork of laws throughout the state that could potentially and unknowingly turn a law-abiding gun owner into a criminal. It is important to note that this bill does not change the places that are currently prohibited under state law.
