Would be cool for recording, just get a rail riser to clear your iron sights and mount this on top for videos. Only problem is your limited to iPhone quality vid
Stupid gimmick, Iphone cameras lens cannot see the full dynamic range as the human eyes. In other words, it can't see the shadows and bright areas at the same time with great details. nothing beats the real scope and there are scopes out their that has a camera sensor separately from the glass optical that lets you record video
In theory I understand this, I don't however think that mobile phones were made to stand up to repeted recoil of a firearm. Even if its a like recoiling cartridge like .223. Now if you were talking about a recording device that was designed with the intent to stand up to repeted recoil of a firearm, then this mount would make better sense.
Safety off, eyes on target, breathe in, breathe out. Lower the heart rate. Crosshairs on target, finger on trigger. Slow squeeeeze……….BRRRRRRRING. Oh hi hon. Not much. You need some potatoes and onions? Sure I'll stop at safeway on the way home, anything else? Ok, love you b'bye.
pretty cool but im not sure i want apple watching what my ar15 is doing. kind of like when i snipe came out the publishing company wanted to have everyone's global position. would be a really cool toy for deer hunting

Digital zoom is very different than optical zoom.
face time someone as you shoot but dont let them know then when you fire it will frighten the life out of them haha
It would work great for paintball or airsoft guns… Maybe pellet guns too. I might try it on my AR-15 just to see if my phone holds up.
So did you get one yet?

Finally! A product that allows me to use my flashlight app! No more having to wait to text your loved ones while mowing down an enemy line 🙂
I can read, no actual test…….?
Not long before you can snooz in your stand while your rifle targets, fires, and cleans your game.
I dont see how it would hold zero?
the lens will crack easily…
just get a real scope
how would you shoot around a corner, if you turn the mount, the camera points to wherever you turn it to.?

Glad to see your back. I was getting worried for a bit there.
What if you get a phone call during a shot?
lol, I don't think the iphone is rated for the vibratory shock of recoil…

The absolutely only use I see in using this is for recording POV shooting for videos.
Take my money!!!! I will also go buy a Iphone just to use it
it might be good for fun and fucking around, but i wouldn't trust my life to an iphone
I got five internet dollarz that says this was invented by a Canadian.
