Tomorrow, the Louisiana House is scheduled to consider preemption legislation, House Bill 281. Please contact your state Representative and strongly urge them to SUPPORT House Bill 281.
House Bill 281, sponsored by Rep. Blake Miguez, removes vague language in Louisiana’s existing preemption statute to prevent a patchwork of laws throughout the state that could potentially and unknowingly turn a law-abiding gun owner into a criminal. It is important to note that this bill does not change the places that are currently prohibited under state law.
Again, please contact your state Representative and strongly urge them to SUPPORT House Bill 281.
