Anyone compare the Primary Arms 3x Prism with the Vortex Spitfire 3x? Sootch00 did a review on the 1x several years ago. I found a Spitfire for $318. Weighing my options.

How's the eye relief?

anyone know the eye relief on this?

I've been looking at 1x and 3x prism scopes from a handful of manufacturers for some time now for patrol rifle duty use. I initially dismissed the PA due to it's price being "too good to be true" for a reliable quality scope. The more video reviews I watch, the more I'm becoming convinced that the PA prism is the way to go. I'm really digging that ACSS reticle and about only the suggestion I would make about improving it would to have an option of switching to green illumination on the reticle.

In my opinion Primary Arms makes the best scopes on the planet their revolutionary acss system is hands down the best damn site on the market! Go watch their video on the reticle development and explanation of how it works.

You answered all my questions and sold this scope to me.. I am looking for a scope or red dot with a magnifier but after watching your review this is the way to go for my 9in Blackout.. 3x magnification with ACSS cant go wrong. Thank Sootch

I got the 5X and love it… I've never had a problem with primary arms except with their 4×14 scopes. Two different scopes for me when I added sunshades actually had the glue Come Undone and I had to have their Parallax redone. Actually just reset it myself and let the sun shades off. But primary arms did offer to fix it for free which was pretty cool

Going to have to get the .300 blackout version in FDE for my black multi-cam and FDE build.

Just bought 1, used it, loved it, bought another for my son's gun. My friend just bought the premium 1-8 after seeing mine. I just shot the 3x out to 400 yards today. Will be going 500 soon. Great optic, love the etched reticle for my old eyes. My red dots were deformed, this is crystal clear with focus adjustment for any eyes. I haven't even used the illuminated feature yet.

I really like this scope. Would this scope work on a SOCOM 16 on the forward rail provided or is it too far forward to be effective? Thanks. Matt

Would recoil from 24" JM Pro 12gauge damage this? Lookin for 3x for rifled slugs.

So where's that comparison with the Steiner M332? Instead you compare it with the Acog come on man get with it…

Would you use this for CQB/Home Defense or a Red Dot ?

I bought one of these a couple months ago. I've had it on a setting of 4 for 6+ weeks now.

Why do they always make us take off caps to adjust wind and elevation with a tool or really long strong thumbnail.? They could make them like regular scopes. You aren't going to inadvertently bump those and change them. I think it's a major flaw in the design. Especially in a high stress situation where time is essential too.

vs Steiner?

can i mount this on a .40cal carbine and it work the same

I've been debating what optic for my new build and you sold me on this. I have astigmatism and red dots are a blur so they're useless and was told a prism will be good for me. I've heard good things about primary arms on reviews and the price is right. Subbed

🤔 lol… can’t remember if I commented on this or not. Whatever… I bought one of these from Robski, and it is the real deal. The ACSS is great… the range finder and BDC (and running leads…) are simple, fast… totally worth it. And, it appears to fknholdzero …even when popped off and on a rail (sorry— I don’t mean to curse on Sootch’s lawn, it’s an AKOU thing…). There is a lot of value & quality for the money in this optic.

However… Do not buy it… the thought of everyone having these and instantly being more deadly and proficient is scary lol… 😆

Would 3x be adequate for hog hunting with 300AAC 50-150 yards or would I be better off with a 1-6x or something along those lines?

Nothing compares to a Trijicon ACOG. In my humble opinion. This Primary Arms Prism is a great optic for what it is.

why not have a diopter adjustment on a red dot?

How far forward or back should u run this optic? Can I still have b.u.i.s
