  1. Stream light is the best. I have that same HL and love it! I also have the Protac HL3 1100 lumens and just bought the stream light 3500 lumens. Awesome flashlights. Would recommend to anyone out there.

  2. Streamlight is NOT made in America. Those things are made in China!!! I bought a protac HL 4 and used 2 rechargeable cr123 batteries and fucked up the light (guess voltage was 2 high) & they replaced it for me so that's 😎 but it was when it was brand new n they were just getting their shipments from China they told me… I think thrunite (tn12) is the best flashlight for the money streamlights good but thrunite= smaller brighter & much cheaper 4 me👍

  3. to be fair the stream light light is 750 lumen and also offers a lifetime warrenty were thru nite is cheap Chinese crap a cree emitters are wish washy at best when it comes to reliability?

  4. I have had the white mode button on thrunite rip off with first time out of sheath:) on a brand new one. rendering it useless. They replaced it promptly. My only bitch on thrunite with this style button. All my other thrunites iam very happy with them:)

  5. I'm not huge on flashlights yet so I don't have a lot of info. I've been reading a lot of reviews on Thrunites on amazon and a lot say "if you drop it once barely two feet off the ground it'll stop working." I guess my question is that true and if so what would you recommend for a rugged starter flashlight?

  6. Ey jeff, wanted to share something that helped me. I love tail standing as well, but some lights don't have it. If you mostly tailstand in your house, put some empty mason jars around and plop u r light in head up. Hope it helps!

  7. Hey Jeff, Im wondering if maybe you could help explain in a video or something how important lumens really are to to a flashlight's performance. I only ask because it seems like despite having less lumens the streamlight seemed to look the brightest of the two.
Thanks for the educating and entertaining videos

  8. Anyone know of a source for AAAA (4A) rechargables for my Streamlight Stylus's. Also for what it's worth, I have (2) Sipik CK36's that for $15 a pop can't be beat for a great shop enviroment workhorse. I've dropped them on concrete, etc and keep coming back for more. Plenty bright too.

  9. maybe you are having issues with your streamlight because you are using batteries in it that they specifically say not to use lol. i have a few streamlights that have never had issues after years of use every single day. great vid i def like both lights!

  10. Jeff, that "Cigar Ring" is an Anti Roll Ring. So if you drop the light it stops in its place and wont roll away. Oh and how come you never review any Fenix or Surefire lights?

  11. Hey Jeff I've been watching your videos for a long time and I've seen most and enjoy every video you post! So I just want to say awesome job with all the videos and please keep them coming! I have an issue concerning ThruNite, recently I purchased a ThruNite tn11s v2, actually I've bought two and it was the best flashlight I had since my Fenix pd35 and what I loved was that it came with extension tubes so you can use it with two 18650's instead of one and you get some extra lumens and run time. Awesome light, over 1k lumens with two 18650s but the quality of this flashlight seems to be very poor. I returned the first one I got because it stopped working in the two battery mode after a week, thinking it was just unlucky I sent it back and bought another one and it worked great for about another week. I work security as a patrol driver on the graveyard shift so I use flashlights quite a bit, anyways my new light was sitting on the passenger seat, at some point I was breaking for a light that changed suddenly and it fell forward onto the passenger side floor and stopped working after that. Tiny drop onto a carpet like surface..I couldn't believe it. Could you please, please review this light with a very light durability test of some kind. I love this light but want to use it with the extension tubes and I want to know what you think about this. Thanks a ton if you ever read this an end up making a video, if not I totally understand you're a busy guy and get a lot of requests. Anyways, keep up the awesome videos Jeff!

  12. I own the T30s V2. I chose this light due to my job as armed security. I wanted something simple to use, no programming, no multiple clicks to get a certain mode, easy strobe should I need it etc. For me, this flashlight is just about perfect. I really like the white button on the side thats used to switch modes or the instant strobe feature. The back button cap while not letting it sit on a table, because it's pronounced makes it very easy to grip and find, especially if I am wearing gloves or its slick due to rain etc. As a service light, I cannot really find any real problems with the light.

  13. I'm with you Jeff on the tail stand aspect. I hate a proud switch, had accidentally switched light on whilst in belt pouch etc too.
I do like Thrunite lights, have a TN12, that's an 18650 light that can tail stand.

  14. Damn you Jeff! I have had no issues with my Pro Tac HL, unlike my other lights from 4sevens, Fenix, Nitecore, and, of all things, Surefire. They all failed me,… and now I have to burn thru at least 2 sets of CR123's for constant on to see if this light will hold up.   😉
