  1. Look guys it all boils down to this: The ATF hasn’t made a hard stand on how to measure the OAL of a pistol with an adjustable/folding brace. In the ATF approval letter for the Sig MPX the ATF state the overall length of the handgun is measured with brace extended and there is an answered email from the ATF stating OAL is measured with brace telescoped out to the longest length possible. However the ATF has confiscated firearms from “The Freedom Shoppe” gun store in may for this issue. More info here:

Until this gets resolved we won’t know what the official way to measure is.

  2. This is a great deal guys. Just ordered one in FDE myself from PSA even though I'm AR pistol heavy. Better get everything you want now before they affirm William Barr. He will be one of the most anti-2nd Attorney Generals to ever hold the office. We're in for dark days!

  3. Whatever it is we all think we know, i suggest we get em while we can. They are slamming the doors on every single piece, part, gadget and capacity just as fast as their little fingers will fly.

  4. You can’t put a VFG in that. The OAL is from the end of your barrel minus the muzzle device and the end of your buffer tube as the SAB3 is not fixed. And angled foregrip is OK.

  5. End of barrel threads to end of brace fully extended…some argue end of buffer tube. And 10.5 is as short as you want to go with a carbine gas system and keep decent velocity and dwell time.

  6. Nice. I recently built my first pistol too. 8” w/ SBA3 brace and 7.5” handguards. Using an aero lower, v7 forged upper, and alpha shooting sports 8” cold hammer forged barrel. Neatest thing is a law tac folding adapter I put on it and a dolos barrel/handguard quick detach system. Since my purpose is cqb home defense, the lower velocity from a 7.5” is of no concern to me. Still substantially more power than out of my glock handguns. Nice rig and I’m starting to think the ar pistols are the perfect gun for my purposes…hard to justify the need for having 16” rifles.

  7. The Close Quarter Battle Receiver is a replacement upper receiver for the M4A1 Carbine, developed by the US Navy. The CQBR features a barrel 10.3 in in length, similar to the Colt Commando short-barreled M16 variants of the past. Wikipedia
Barrel length: 262 mm (10.3 in)
Length: 762 mm (30.0 in) stock extended; 679.4 mm (26.75 in) stock retracted
    Weight: 2.72 kg (6.00 lb)
    Effective firing range: 300 m (328 yd)
    Muzzle velocity: 788 m/s (2,585 ft/s)
    In service: 2000–present
Feed system: 20- or 30-round detachable STANAG magazine

  8. Grab some 77 grain Tula HP from PSA It runs very well in these pistols I have this and a 11.5 in almost the same exact set up and It’s very accurate with this ammo and it’s cheap very nice setup!!!!

  9. I thought 26in rule was from from the end of the buffer tube to the end of the barrel, not including the muzzle break unless it’s pinned and welded. The stock and muzzle break are both removable there for can’t count as OAL. Let me know if I’m wrong. Building one myself soon.
