  1. I've had one for for 3 years, my first AR. Didn't know I had to clean the chamber so I did break the BCG. They took care of me and let me know what I was missing in my cleaning process. No issues since!!!

  2. I've got a couple of radical guns. One in 223/556 and one 300bo.
They are excellent everyday guns that just run.
For most people, they would be an excellent choice considering that most people never actually shoot enough to actually see a difference between these and the $2k and up ar's.

  3. Speaking as a person who loves to shoot, likes accumulating firearms, but doesn’t have a massive amount of cash: I reject out of hand criticism of a company or product, just because it isn’t expensive. I may be interested in SEEING a review of a firearm that costs $2000-5000, but there are no foreseeable circumstances that lead to me owning one. My .22 lr target pistol is a Browning Buckmark Camper. My 1911 is a Rock Island Armory. So, gotta say I appreciate your review of a budget AR-15. Keep it up, ol’ hoss, we’re counting on you!

  4. You know that gun snobs think if it doesn't cost you a kidney it's not worth having. I have a Del-Ton that I paid $485 for (out the door) and it shoots great, plus it's made up the road from me. I know there are bigger name but it's good to support a local manufacturer.

  5. I am not sure why people dislike these rifles. I mean it is a decent all around AR at a low cost that works. I mean what more do you want out of a rifle? This is the ranch owner, working man's home defense, practice at the local range rifle. Oh yes the trigger is not great. It might be my imagination but the trigger feels a bit worst then most mil specs, but it is not BAD, just not great.

  6. I have the RF-15 with the "socom" barrel and MHR hand guard and have 600 rounds through it with the only problem being the metal magazine that came with it doesn't work. No biggie I have plenty of magazines, I actually didn't think it came with one to begin with. I through a Primary Arms 1-6X24 Raptor LPVO on it and I'm getting <2 moa groups at 100 yards. It's too hilly where I live to shoot much farther. At 25 yards I'm making 150 round 2 inch holes. Lol. So far I love it and at this point I don't foresee any problems. Going to the range in a couple days to run another 600 rounds through it. Thanks good the great review.

  7. My brother in law has a Radical Firearms Upper. He had trouble with the original BCG, but they refunded his money, and he picked up a different brand BCG, and has been otherwise happy with it.

  8. 🤔 If I was a home intruder… I wonder how much more confident and brazen I'd be when facing a household armed with a "budget AR-15," rather than a really tricked out safe queen? Pretty sure I'd just walk right through that "budget AR-15" like Swiss cheese. 🤓 But, I guess if you kept it real dark, you could fool the intruder into thinking you had all the Special Forces Tier One Operator parts that make up a real gun. 👌

  9. My friend baught a radical firearms AR and he could never get it to run right. Sent it back and when he got it home again it still didn't run well. He eventually got annoyed and sold it. He then bought a 308 Galil Ace pistol.

Then he told me that direct gas impingement rifles are unreliable garbage and that he would never trust one. I responded with garbage rifles are garbage and you're wasting 308 with that 10.3 inch barrel. I love the Galil Ace and have one myself. But I would have gotten the 308 rifle instead of the pistol.

Either way if I wanted budget I'd go PSA. I work at a gun counter, and although I've heard and seen a few issues with PSA, I've never heard a single good one about radical firearms. Until now that is.

The fact that this is a hand-picked rifle concerns me as well.

  10. For me at least
(last time I held one maybe things have upgraded) it was missing too many desirable features that other ar’s offer at that price point
Chrome lined bolt carrier , 4150 steel, Chrome lined barrel, pend gas block, they use logos instead of the words safe and fire and the logos look too similar

  11. I knew heard of that brand. I live out in the country a little over a mile from town with 96 people. Only what we are lookin for. Ill give and AR-15 a shot. And the lifetime guarantee if a sellin point. But i 5hink it looks like a good one.

  12. I knew you couldn't quit us Johnny! The people who talk shit about certain guns have no clue how hard it is to bring a gun to market and don't own them. In the end it just sounds like more liberal whining.

  13. I'll tell you what I think. I think you and
tnoutdoors9 are screwing with me. Posting within three hours of each other. Okay, okay so I didn't buy the lottery ticket. Big whoop! Besides someone won it at the next drawing. But I'm tellin ya if this shit happens again I am going to be buying one violating all my principles and commonsense. There's a reason that statistically you're more likely to get bit by a shark in AZ than win the big one.

  14. As long as the barrel, BCG, and buffer system are within Mil-Spec anybody should be able to make a reliable carbine. I don’t have any experience with Radical Firearms, but I would expect flawless operation for the first 1K rounds and 3-4 MOA.

  15. As Sootch00, 8541 Tactical, and Hickok45 would say…. "Long live the Republic" "Get out and shoot" "Life is good". I wouldn't want anyone to waste time and money on a gun that doesn't work reliably but I don't care how ugly or cheap a gun is, get one and learn to use it. It is the POWER to defend all of our Rights.

  16. Personally I have no opinion, either positive or negative, regarding Radical Firearms. I've heard mixed things about some of their components but have no specific first hand experience with them. My preference, when I have a need for a new AR15 upper or lower is to build it myself. That way I get to use the barrel I want, handguard I want, etc.
