Holosun 403 Series of sights in Amazon:
I was at SHOT and stumbled into the Holosun booth [watch for the video]. I did not even know they existed. It seems to do what the Aimpoint does but for A LOT less. The build quality seems identical and the feature set on these Holosun sights is BETTER than Aimpoint. Take my current favorite model reviewed here in field: the 503C “Paralow” circle dot. I bought this over an astronomically priced Aimpoint Micro red dot. Here again we are seeing the frequent pricing folly of big name companies like Aimpoint (or Surefire w flashlights) that take for granted to their marketplace domination. This pricing level opens the door for smart competition. The video will cover its simple ALWAYS ON operation that really works for a change: a super precise 2 MOA dot in 65 MOA circle that comes on when you shoulder the gun. Battery life is rated at 50,000 (or 5.7 yrs) hrs too for a lightweight 2032 power cell. Manual mode with just the 2 MOA dot (precise and not fat like many) is a button press away. It features AUTO OFF when in manual mode. It’s only 4.6 oz…and that’s with the included high AR-15 riser mount attached. On weight alone it will save big weight on your AR or AK build. Other features are shown, like its amazing SOLAR power augmentation….it can even work w/o a battery in proper light. This is currently my favorite CIRCLE or RED DOT sight being produced and it has been 100% reliable so far; each one has a no questions lifetime warranty as well. I bought two more for us in Amazon (sub to my Twitter feed if there are any failures of these sights over time). I still love the Bushnell TRS-25 and it continues to soldier on reliably on many TNP guns. It works great. But the Holosun is higher quality, more trustable in rough conditions, seems to have a much better mounting interface, and has cutting edge features that makes my job as a shooter easier. That’s what any good product does.

Just bought one of these red dots for my AR. It's freaking AWESOME! 👌
Yeah, ok. I'm sure this optic that was probably put together by a 12 year old on the third story of some run down building in Hong Kongs red light district is definitely just as good as an Aimpoint that's built in a high tech lab in Sweden by professionals that have been doing it for years.
this must be a miracle! nutnfancy made a video of a product I want to see that is less than 40 minutes long!
It sure is hard to pay 600-700 for an Aimpoint when you get this quality for 200 bucks! I'll still keep my T-2 for my GTW rifle tho.But now i can oufit my other rifles with a good reddot without caving in the bank account. Thanks TNP!
What comp do you have on the barrel?
Just ordered one from optics planet….
I just bought the Holosun 403G. I can't wait to go to the range and sight it in.
Yeah, my life is worth the $430 an Aimpoint PRO costs. No way I'm trusting Chinese optics.
Dvor online has these on sale 3/25/2016
Nutty, I purchased my first product from a gun enthusiast from u tube holsun 503c… Guess who? Indeed… Keep it coming
Just got mine just over 200. Thanks Nutn! You saved my AR projects!!!!! I hope to post a vid about it.
I bought this red dot based on your review and the fact that I can't afford an aimpoint. thanks for the heads up, I appreciate you guys.
Would this sight work on an ak? Whats would i have to differently to put it on an ak?
I now have five Holosun HS403C sights and love them. In the video you say that it's now your favorite red dot sight. I'm so glad to hear someone saying the same thing that I have been tell everyone I talk to about sights. In the past you either had the el-cheep-O red dots that were no more than toys or the big money sights. Holosun is about 80% the quality of Aimpoint at about 1/3 the price. I do have Trijicon, Aimpoint and Leupold sights, trust me, you need to at least give one a try. Time will tell but I think Solar powered red dots will be the next big thing industry wide. Now the inside of my safe looks like a Holosun display! I loved the video, Thank You!
Would you choose this red dot, the vortex strike fire 2, or the bushnell trs-25?
Would there be clearence issues with that raptor charging handle(gear wise)? By that i mean would it be more likely to snag onto things in high stress situations
Just got mine today and I love it!
What muzzle device do you have on there ?
I wonder with all the youtube fame, I could imagine companies paying to push their products good or bad……
It automatically turns on when you put your face up to it. Yeager teaches to have both iron sights up so it can be always ready. But you want to trust in something made in china to automatically turn on when you put your face to it?
DO they have one without the high rise?? To put on my Mosin?
Just ordered from Amazon. My first red dot, can't wait to try it out. I am looking forward to see if this helps with my bad eyes. I have trouble seeing my front iron sight without my reading glasses. I hope this helps. Thanks for the tip on this sight.
Considering Primary Arms microdots are unbranded OEM Holosuns, why spend all the extra $$$ on a Holosun?
can this sight handle 308?
which is the best mount on an ak, a foreend mount or an over the receiver mount?
I'll look into this for the AR build I'm about to start
They must be paying you because they are horrible. Have had two gone bad.
Nutnfancy, Please do a review that addresses the red glare that appears on the picture sight when facing away from a light source. Hopefully, Holosun will get the message and fix this problem on their future devices.
Hey nutnfancy, how does this one compare to the Holosun 403g?? glass or dot any better or the same??
Amazon has already sold out lol. Optics planet has a 20% off deal. 197$ with free shipping.
I got a brand new aimpoint pro for $350 (on sale) but id rather pay $120 more for something that is proven rugged and reliable
+nutnfancy or anyone else, how would you compare this to the Vortex SPARC II? Thanks!
happy 503c use here and its rockin on my Kel-Tec SU22. Glad you made this video! they really need to make a magnifier
holy crap good find bro! im definitely buying one of these asap. talk about product promotion
non magnetic caps that adjust dials =damn almost OWSOME.rare earth too please holosun aka damn strong magnets.
I've bought two red dots based on nutnfancy reviews. This one being the 2nd one. Thanks for all the hard work you do on these videos!
give it a little while and it will quit on you just like holosun's always do
is your philosophy of use for less than 50Yd or does the 2 moa good for 100yds? my reason for asking is my eyes are not the best and your video about scopes for ar-15 I am prone to get a scope cause I want to see stuff up to 100yrds. what do you think?
I think you're incorrect about the Primary Arms MD-ADS. pretty sure it has a 2 MOA dot. With the same window size.
Made in China?
Totally digging the snow grey duracoat job, and the more I see of it the more it grows on me. I love the idea of the Holosun sight utilizing solar power. It seems like a no brainier to do.
I took my hard look at this sight, but went with the Bushnell for both my ksg and my AR. Great review, the holosun needs more promoting.
Above my pay rate 😔🇺🇸☮
Does this have the same problem with with red reflection in the glass like the esrlier versions? I believe the 403 and the Primary arms model?
nutnfancy … or anyone else with a Holosun, does yours work without the battery in the tray? I was expecting it be able to work without the battery in the tray and on solar, but the ones I've tested would not.
Got one of these in October or so. Love it!
awesome review, but I think saying "auto dimmer" instead of "autimatic" would be a better choice of words. last thing you need is some anti-gun hearing this thinking it makes your gun "automatic"…..because we all know how uneducated they are lol. BTW I still love the Bushnell TRS25.
WOW!!! Bringing something cool to the camera @_@
Well these sold out quickly…
