  1. Have this scope on a Barrett REC7 FDE.  Glass is great.  However, for this price (MSRP $1999; street $1300-1400…I paid $650 at a Brownells  retail store open house…appeared never mounted) I am not impressed by the coarse 1/2"MOA/click turrets; lack of parallax adjustment; lack of zero stop…has zero adjust…not stop; capped turrets; no eyepiece reticle focus lock ring; and the weird color looks screwy on every color of rifle….FDE is just OK.  Turrets are crisp feel and repeatable on shooting square and tall target…..programmed in no truing in ballistic solver due to coarse turret clicks and 1-6x distance limitation…..old eyes.  Had I paid more, I would have been disappointed …sold it and looked elsewhere for the price/features observed.

  2. For $1400 I feel like you're getting a ton more scope with the 1x-8x Primary Arms platinum series with ACSS Reticle. More magnification, a 34mm vs 30mm main tube, Built in optical ranging feature to 800 yards, Japanese HD Glass, Superior CQB reticle with giant illuminated horseshoe for up close and personal, same Lifetime Warranty as Vortex.

  3. A lot of comments seem to bag on the lack of FFP. Just keep in mind folks that the center point of the scope (the zero point for the reticle) will always be true throughout ALL MAGNIFICATION RANGES. So for the JM1 with a 200 yard zero you should be within 3 inches of POA out to 220 yards give or take. After that you'll want 6x anyways.
