  1. Nice video – well done – thanks – I just got mine back after its second trip back to ATI – misfeeds, etc. like others have reported – the notes from the repair guy noted a burr he found inside the chamber that he took out – I'd guess that the burr was actually a result of an accidental dry fire or two – that bolt face must be pretty dawn soft – I also noticed on mine, the end of the extractor (towards the back of the bolt) is sticking out beyond the bolt and propbably dragging on the inside of the upper as it operates – I Dremeled it down a bit so there's no friction. My buddy has the same upper – his runs flawlessly – go figure.

  2. My M4-22 has problems with ejecting rounds. Turns out it was from accidentally dry firing twice. It caused a dent on the edge of the chamber. Be careful not to dry fire these. It ran flawless until I dry fired it.

  3. There are many weapons that need a little fiddling when new. Many have some crappy finishes and machine work that appears sloppy. Most of the time all the need is a thorough cleaning and to be broken in. They make these things to a price point. In the end, are most people going to be happy with a Chiappa or should they spend $800 for a CMMG 22 AR? I would rather have the Chiappa and spend an hour dialing it in.

  4. Great video Manny. I got one of these in 2013 when the AR of any kind craze was in full swing and spent way too much for this gun. My buddy got one as well. We went to shoot them out of the box and were very disappointed in the failures. I got it home and the barrel was loaded with lead from the rounds I was able to shoot. For a perspective buyer or new owner, clean the barrel thoroughly before shooting! I also polished my bolt group like you did with a Harbor Freight polishing wheel and the aluminum/stainless polishing compound for the same reason you mentioned…oxidation and rough play in the slide. It shined like new metal should after the polishing and used some Slip 2000 to lubricate. I've been very pleased with the gun since then. My buddy took his back because of a ramp/feed issue that a gunsmith couldn't resolve. One other note, spray the polymer magazines with silicon or graphite based lube to assure good ammo feed. It is fun, reliable shooting. πŸ™‚

  5. I sent them a Rhino that broke an extractor on the third shot (paid $950 new) & the ass holes kept my plastic box & denied it.Liars & ass hole thieving liars work at Chiappa. The bunch of creeps should go out of business. They make crap.

  6. I completely understand the disappointment I also know that $200. is money.
But when I buy something I like to think some craftsmanship goes into the product.
I was under the impression Chiappa made good quality firearms and by producing a half pass weapon they risk their reputation.
Q: Does Chiappa offer a guarantee or warranty that comes with the m4 ? Can a warranty be bought from the company ?

  7. Good video, thank you. I've had mine for a few months now and found it misfeeds and FTE constantly. I noticed the metal on metal wear on mine and will try polishing it myself also and see if that takes care of the rifle problems. I also found problems with every one of the magazines I've used. I ordered/received 4 extra (in addition to the 2 it came with) and found the of the 10 different types of ammo used (all lr) no matter the brand, or the bullet weight (36 gr or 40 gr) there were constant problems of not feeding correctly, or not ejecting, etc. about 400 rounds through it now. Maybe polishing will help. If nothing else, your video outlines the terrible workmanship from this company. Thanks again.

  8. Hi, thanks for the vid. I picked up the Chiappa m-four complete rifle for what I think is a great deal at $219 from Classics online. Like yours, mine has some minor scaling of the metal finish on the bolt as well. I am in no way unhappy as the price dictates how I feel about the deal. If I paid $400 for it, it would be going back, at $250 with ship/transfer no problems. Seeing how it can "cross train" with my other AR platforms, it will be a blast to shoot with and my wife already claimed it!. Like you I polished and buffed the metal parts as I do with all my new toys to get to know the guts so to speak.

In all honesty, I have received pieces in worse shape from very reputable names in the gun biz, but like you said….no fun bashing. Have fun man!
