I currently carry a microstream too and just ordered the 1L-1AA, the microstream puts out 35-45 lumen depending on if you bought the most current version, great light but like you I just wanted something I little brighter. Thanks for the info
I use a Tenergy Ligepo4 AA and it gives more than enough run time. I use it mostly in low on the low high mode. It’s nice to have that 350 lumens without having to throw away batteries.

Ive slowly been changing from cr123 to 18650 but I’ve steadily been accumulating 123s so I always have backups. I have a mix of lights so I always make sure I have one in every room.
Streamlights are junk!!! Go with surefire
