  1. Good video! One thing I would have liked to of seen though. A brief explanation of the optic adjustments. I have the .308 and 5.56 ACSS HUD scopes. The turrets are MIL/MIL and adjust differently then MOA optics.

  2. AR rifles can be quickly brought to within several inches of target at 100 yards without needing to shoot by removing upper with scope still on.
1- Remove bolt carrier group and lay upper receiver on sandbags pointed toward target at 100 yards and look through chamber end and move until target is seen and centered at 100 yards.
2- Without moving upper rifle look through scope and note where the cross hairs or dot is on target. Most targets have rings spaced 1" apart so it's easy to calculate how high , low , left, or right sight need to be adjusted since 1" movement is almost the same as 1 MOA movement and note this distance on a scrap paper by giving it an X Y coordination (X = elevation Y = windage).
3- Adjust scope accordingly and shoot 5 shots to determine how well rifle groups and where point of impact is. Find the average center of group and mark a cross hair X Y axis line and measure the distance to determine zero adjustment and zero scope.
4- Shoot 5 more groups to verify scope is zeroed and now set the knob bezel marking ring to zero (if scope allows it). Leave new settings to 2 MOA high (16" carbine) or 1.25 MOA high (20" rifle) as combat zero if desired.

  3. Great vid! Most other tutorials go off on tangents talking about very advanced marksman tips (which is good); but not needed for most "weekend shooters", or someone who just bought a scope (like myself)

    Thanks!

  4. Good instructional video and well done. I was however expecting the ex crew chief to yank out the torque wrench, set it to max and deal with that ornery Aero mount! HA! Just kidding! Regards,. Mike.

  5. Good video with some great tips. Also a good idea to use a real bag for stability or as I saw you using a sock which works as well. Once your rifle is zeroed another thing you can do to reduce your group size is to try moving your bi pod forward or rear. Depending on the Harmonics of the barrel you will definitely see a difference.

  6. Great video. I usually struggle getting a scope sighted in. Just replaced my spr Barrel recently and will be re-sighting it in next week. Picked up a Rainier Ultramatch Mod 2

  7. How's it going?? Spot On!! Tutorial thanxs, question any plans for a back up channel or you planning to ride out the storm, alot of craziness going on in You tube!!
