My current thoughts on the new Trijicon Accupower 1-8x. I didn’t choose to compare it to the Razor to diminish the Razor in any capacity, I chose the Razor because it is a very well rounded scope that many people have experience with.
A couple things I missed: The red reticle is brighter than the green and likely preferable for 3 gun. The reticle at max power and in lower light will slightly bleed into the mil lines.

I find the reticle on the accupower 1-8 way to small on 1x for 3gun. We shoot alot of skinny sammys and colt speed plates around 50 yards. At that distance you don't need to zoom, but the reticle is so small I can't find it. Another reason I can't find the center cross hairs on 1x is because it is not by any means daylight bright. If it lit up I think I could see it way faster in the scope. My opinion is razor HD is the way to go for 3gun.
Matt, how does the size of the crosshair thickness compare with the VCOG (segmented circle (1600000)) crosshair? Is the Accupower 1-8 thinner? Thanks.

Hi Matt, I was at your 3 gun class two weeks ago at Livingston Gun Club. Great class I shot in your co instructors squad 2. What a blast that was! Yes pun intended! Couldn't ask for better weather for March in Michigan. Was this the scope that Trijicon gave away at end of class? I want Trijicon to know that I am looking to get a scope thanks to their support and the speech the rep gave at the end of the class. Which is how I found this video on youtube.

What's your thoughts on the Accupower 1-4×24? Any experience with that optic? I live in an urban environment and not predicting that I'll be shooting much past 300 yards. Is the glass clarity, eye relief, overall construction and durability on par with the 1-8 Trijicon? Thanks.

Great review. Is the throw lever you have on the optic in the video the one it comes with from the factory?
Would you comment on the Elcan DR? My impression is the glass is unbeatable, but the mounting system isn't as solid as normal scope rings. I mention it because I think mine is more clear at 1x than the Vortex 1-6 gii.
I've got both. Gotta disagree about the 1x. The razor definitely is more of a true 1x to my eye. The accupower has fisheye for sure

How do the turrets feel? My experience w/ a 1-4, and 3-9 accupower is that the accupoint 1-4 makes them feel like trash
