KIDD’s latest innovation, we have developed a unique barrel interchangeable system with an extra long barrel extension of 1 7/8″ length (compared to the standard 3/4″ barrel extension). With this design the customer can now easily slip the barrel in and out of the receiver without resistance and still maintain the up most in stability and harmonics. KIDD now offers this alternative with our three part locking and stabilizing system sliding into a reinforced receiver. With a 1 7/8″ barrel extension, utilizing an indexing flat, clamping v, and clamping flat. The indexing flat allows the shooter to perfectly time the barrel so that the extractor cut is properly aligned. The clamping v and flat secure the barrel into the receiver with two 1/8″ hex head bolts.

In our premium Supergrade line of custom rifles we inlet and bed each rifle. The receiver’s front flat and rear tang are bedded. The stock is modified with access points so that the barrel can be removed without removing the stock. WHAT! Yes, you can change to another KIDD Supergrade barrel without even taking the stock off of the rifle. After removing the magazine and making sure the chamber is clear, simply unscrew the two locking screws and pull out the barrel. Then, slip in your next KIDD Supergrade barrel while applying downward pressure and with a slight turn of the barrel. Use the indexing flat to make sure the barrel is properly timed and fully installed. Tighten the two 1/8th hex screws to snug and away you go.

KIDD is transitioning from the threaded Supergrade Rifle to our slip fit Supergrade Rifle in order to provide the customer with increased flexibility for barrel options. We have always provided a superior Supergrade Rifle but the threaded receiver system doesn’t allow the customer the option to change a barrel which has always been at the heart of this 22 style rifle. KIDD’s new rifle system easily affords the customer this option and with our complete rifle, even goes a step further and allows the shooter to change a barrel without removing the stock!

Our Supergrade receiver still comes with the easy access rear cleaning hole and interchangeable low scope base with varying MOAs available. A zero degree scope base will come installed on the receiver and an optional of 10, or 20 MOA can be purchased to assist the shooter in reaching the longer distances. Both the scope base and rear tangs have mating designs to the receiver so that our rifles have great rigidity as well as some customization aspects. We machine each receiver from billet 6061 T6 aluminum and use an anodized finish either black or silver.

  1. I really like firearm innovation, and this looks like a really neat rifle. But, this is still the 22 rimfire, based on the Ruger chassis. Effective range at most 100 yards, regardless of the barrel configuration. There are two screws that secure the barrel to the Ruger receiver. Barrel swaps are not that complicated. If the price point as mentioned in the comments is accurate, price point approaches Volquartsen, and this is a complete custom receiver and rifle.

  2. Don't do this, learn from my mistakes, I upgraded 3 Ruger 10-22's in about a year, that was not good enough so I bought a super grade, it's an addiction, Run back to your Marlin's before you get a taste for Kiddjuanna.
I really love my Kidd's, I take them everywhere I can.

  3. I have shot a KIDD suppressed supergrade for several years. AWESOME product. But no 22 mag.
NOW if I could switch my barrel from 22 LR to 22 MAG I would pay up.
Seriously not gonna happen due to receiver would need to be changed out as well.

But I am waiting for KIDD to make a 22 mag. I keep bugging them about it to no avail. Already have $$ saved up.

Seriously folks, the KIDD 22LR is the most fun someone can have shooting sagerats and when they
decide to charge your gun inplacement, and they will… HA, nice try rodents…

After many thousand rds this thing works like a sewing machine. You can't go wrong with this
weapon. Tight tolerances, great engineering and materials. Once its broke in it can't be beaten.
The trick is learning what to grease and oil and what not too and how much
(22 ammo is dirty, its why I only use CCI high velocity and subsonic).

If it rotates, lightly oil. (pins, ect)
if it slides, lightly grease wear marks only (bolt travel, ect)
and use KIDD oil and grease (sparingly).

I would buy it all over again.

    (I'm hearing sagerats crying in the background hoping you'll buy something else, Sorry Rodents, too late!}

  4. I built my daughter a total KIDD rifle. it shoots great with out  a barrel  tuner and using sk standard plus ammo. with eley black or red box it does better. we are talking ..2's at 50 yards with cheap ammo. all I can say is thank you. her rifle is a KIDD receiver,  spring kit, kidd trigger kit, kidd barrel and basically it is totally KIDD. will it shoot with my bolt gun match rifles with tuners? not on its best day but it shoots damned good

  5. I'm so impressed with your line of products.  Your reputation is impeccable.  Before I place my order, would you be willing to donate an ultralight barreled action to a poor ole country boy from Kentucky, in trade for word of mouth advertising?  🙂

  6. Dang, just finished my Kidd build on a factory receiver. That's pretty slick I may have to upgrade! Do you sell these in a barreled action package or are these complete rifle deal only? Awesome stuff
    Thanks
