  1. I don't have a problem with CenterPoint scopes. They cost practically nothing. You won't like it on the revolver I'm afraid. Not near enough eye relief. And it will probably break. : ) Of course Nikon is a couple of steps (at least!) better but they are also generally a pretty good bargain.

  2. First of all, MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family, I like both set ups, my only question is: it appears to be in the way of your charging rod/lever.. can you rack a round in easy with it set up like that? I really like my iron sights… I do you a red-dot on my M-4 at work, but that's the only rifle I have it on, I don't even have sights on my duty gun.

  3. well I kind of like it the other way but you said that you didn't care what people say and then you go ahead and change it in any way so I don't know it looks good both ways though bro

  4. WTW! If the previous optic set up worked well for you then damnit! So be it! If you wanted your rifle in pink instead of bazooka green, then so be it! Merry Christmas! Stephen

  5. Center Point makes a great scope. I have 3 of them and they have performed great through rain, sleet, snow, dropping and bumping. I have as much confidence in my Center Points as my Leopolds and Vortexs. I know…..Crazy? No not at all. Don’t let your subs talk you into something that you don’t like. I think that people who see the AR platform with a scope automatically think it has to have a tactical look. NOT! Great vid none the less. Lol! If your deer hunting, I like the Center Point better. If your going out to play “Instructor Zero weekend warrior/ Let me press check my Glock every 5 seconds and wear really cool Khaki pants with pockets on the sides.” Then the Nikon is the optic you want. Lol! P.S. in lower light situations that small objective Nikon won’t let in the light that the CP will.

  6. The bad thing about scopes like this on an AR platform with the rear objective that close to the charging handle is that my fat hands bump te scope. On my wife's AR, it's a Sig AR with a 3 power 5.56 calibrated Sig optic with the hatches measured to 800 meters. Don't think I'll ever shoot it that far, but the rear is two inchs in front of the charging handle. But, I really like the way that Nikon sits there.

  7. Haters will hate. But, I do like that Nikon. Since you really don't need all that magnefication at the ranges you will be shooting that 458 with. Center Points do hold up fairly well. And for the price, who's complaining. I am about to take a Nikon off of my son's 460 S&W and put on a Simmons. It stinks though with the 50mm objective being that high off the barrel. So, for close up shots, it will change your point of aim. You know the closer you get the center of aim to the center of the barrel on closer shots, your going to have more accurate close up shots.
