Speaking from a extremely inexperienced pov, this may be the worst step by step video ever made. Certainly meaningless to a novice anyway … also, why is it necessary to have all the different springs, nuts., pueces etc just for a butt stock on a tube. Should be screw off screw on ..period.. Why so complicated being part of the lower?
Should Be 1 Screw Stock Off Counter Clickwise 2 Screw Stock on Clickwise . The End ..
Also, is it ok to merely hold your receiver via the magazine block when putting such torque required to remove your receiver extension tube?
Why don’t they make an A1 or A2 fixed buttstock that can slide over the short “adjustable” buffer tube? This way you can switch back and forth from a fixed buttstock to your adjustable stock with only a change of the buffer screw and a spacer…
I want to replace an A2 stock off of a Bushmaster lower that was a Predator rifle. I saw where Bushmaster uses commercial tubes so if I want to change to an M4 stock and already have a Mil Spec kit that was given to me then can I even make the switch?
I take it I will just have to buy an M4 kit for a commercial tube huh? Haaa that's what I get for "Assuming" the thread diameter were the same on both types of tubes
Which diameter buffer tube did you need for this lower? How do I tell which one I will need for my own?
what is the part number for the wrench?
Thanks man!
Does Brownells recommend a specific buffer weight in conjunction with the carbine spring to accommodate a 20" barrel with rifle-length gas system?
Is the A2 stock rifle length buffer and spring used in the adjustable stock? I believe they're different.
Why was the square notch nut put on backwards? How will you stake it to the back plate?
Great vid. thanks a ot. do you need a heavy buffer spring, or will the standard spring that comes with your rifle work just fine?
