Yup! This Scout AR15 is everything I was hoping for. It weighs so little it feels like an airsoft gun, and balance is spot-on. This rifle should point quickly and swing easily. I can’t wait to see how it performs in the field.
Make sure you subscribe! We plan to test a whole bunch of sighting systems on this AR: everything from Ultradyne iron sights to a pistol scope to a red dot to a low-power variable optic (LPVO). We’ll see which sights and scopes work best!

I thought you were a optics snob
you should show the reset on that trigger its crazy short. Literally just release the pressure from your trigger finger and its reset. The trigger may travel back forward a 1/16 of an inch.
love the videos but im very surprised the youtube police havent gave you a strike and deleted this video because it shows installation of parts. I just finished a little build like this 14.5' mid length ballistic advantage pencil barrel troy 13' carbon fiber handguard side charging upper and a light weight Daniel defense buttstock. The only thing I did different is I used a traditional scope 1.5-5x vxiii leupold scope in an areo precision mount. Gun with a 30rd p mag loaded weights 7.2lbs I was hoping to be a little lighter but its under 7lbs when unloaded. But honestly it came out so balanced that the 7lbs feels like 5lbs by far my favorite rifle Ive built so far and Ive built a lot lol
I feel like this isn’t a scout gun, but just another AR build. The only thing that follows suit really is the forward mounted scope. The point of a scout gun is to have a heavy hitting cartridge for ALL types of game. A 556 is underpowered for anything larger than a white tail.
On the front take down use some needle nose pliers to hold the detent then use a razor knife to push the detent down and hold it. Then slide the pin in and pull the razor the knife out. Works great.
Facing a possible handgun and semi auto ban in canada. We have an election in October so hopefully the ban doesn't happen before then. I want to try my hand at an ar build but have to hold off for now because of this. Was thinking bcm upper and lower but not firm on that
I have an Anderson upper and it’s very gritty. Never got another one.
Nice job. I started putting ars togather 3 years ago. I am totaly addicted to building them.I have built many and am working on a 458 socom build and a long range 223 build now.thanx for the videos.
Basic ar15 sight height is 1.5inch to center of the scope
An important part of good firearm design is to use as few threaded fasteners as possible, none being optimum. It is not always possible but they should only be used on non-critical components. Go ahead and count the amount on this design, it's ridiculous. The screws on the gas block are nothing short of sacrilege. Your local mechanic down the street even knows how to shrink fit a bearing on a shaft using a bit of heat for crying out loud.
Wow,this was really informative mate, love your videos,hi from argentina
