Brownells – Daniel Defense AR-15/M16 Omega Rail

Daniel Defense and every video I've seen are calling these free float handguards can somebody tell me what makes this drop-in handguard a free-float I am so freaking confused not really because it's a drop-in handguard

Does the Omega rail apply pressure to the A2 handguard cap? Or is the cap left sort of dangling? I like this rail, as it allows me to revert to the original handguards if I want. 

Can this work on a vn style m16

Well this is not a free float hand guard as they say. I would think Brownells would know this, but I guess not.

Thanks for the video. I got my ar second hand and found the guard to have a lot of play. Those screws to the delta needed to be snugged. Thnx again

@Kliffton415 It uses the delta ring, but not the front sight post.

@H4v0kksh0tgunMan I also saw the really cheap ones on eBay. There's no way you're finding a real one for less than $215. I think the cheap ones are for airsoft

Can someone tell me how to differentiate between a real and fake omega rail? seeing some cheap ones on gunbroker and ebay but i cant tell if they are real or not.

i have this rail on my bushmaster 6.8. they sit rock solid. well worth the money.

@MultiSr16 Yeah that and Recievers stamped with AR15 does not mean they are semi auto, there are fully auto ar15 lowers.

@1ohtaf1 yes i kno, and im also aware that there are lowers stamped m16 and ar15 on the same lower

@MultiSr16 You do realise there are fully automatic AR15s which are not stamped with M16 on the lower.

@MultiSr16 The M16 is the Military designation for a particular specfied AR15.
