is it the whole rail system that's tilted up or is it because of your light mount? would make a difference if you were using an X series?
I also notice that your rail lock isn't aligned with the whole on the rail.
how far before the light is above the line of sight?
it may have been very slightly angled. I sold the whole setup a while back though. I highly doubt you would notice any angle with a pistol because you aren't going to be shooting very far with a pistol anyways.
the light seemed angled upward, is it really like that or just an illusion? is the light straight on at further ranges?
In theory it should work. The frames on double stack guns are only different in the grip frame area. I can't say that it will definitely work though
the mr07 works on all 1911's right? even with a double stack?
it was ok. the mount put the on/off lever a little lower since the rail isn't actually part of the frame. you couldn't activate it with your trigger finger unless your hands are giant. my support hand thumb activated it pretty easily though. the tlr4 is now for sale and I have already sold off the mount.
this is the exact set-up I was wondering if it would work, a mount for my Rock Island and my TLR-1
I got them off ebay a few years ago. very shortly after I got them i tried to get another pair because I liked them so much. however there were none to be found. they are just standard black g10 that is cnc'd. vz grips are very similar to this.
Very nice pistol with great parts, what kind of grips ?
I actually haven't had a chance to shoot it yet with the light. These are all high quality parts so I do not expect any issues. I'm going to try and get video while firing it.
