You should revisit this with a MCMR rail!
My bcm uppers with aero lowers were VERY reliable. They kept up with my saiga in torture test up until i put small rocks inside the receiver.

i love BCMs! but ive become a huge FN fan too!
i built my FN 16" M4 into a kind of M4/RECCE/MK-12 hybrid with the PRI G2 folding front sight/gas block and a Primary Arms 1-8x ACSS sfp scope in a ADM recon qd mount.
its lean, its mean and can do anything i could possibly need from a 5.56 carbine.
its light, fast into action, completely reliable, supremely accurate (sub 3/8 MOA) and always ready to go.
from across the room to across the valley this 'EFF-INN rifle is ready to rock!
BCMs are excellent and have always been one of my favorites,but since owning these 2 FNs (i also have a 18" match grade sporter) ive definetely become a FN fanboy. youd do yourself a favor by checking them out.
