Thanks Larry. I prefer those original hand guards tho.
It's not hard to pull the delta ring down they just want you to buy the tools
Very helpful video
What is the handguard you installed?

You are a wizard Lary!
what kind of hand guard was this? I would like to get one too, got a link to purchase? thanks
I am getting this tool!!!!!!!!!
The new railed hand guard looks so much sexier than the old one.
I added a grip to mine about one year ago and it was so hard to do, I've never removed it. Maybe with a tool like this, I might try changing the forend with a rail.

Lol we didn't use those in the corps. Neat tool though.
Informative video for those new to the AR15 platform. I'm just wondering: why the need for this tool? I was in the Army for 23 years and when I went thru Basic Training, when I trained soldiers as an NCO, when we would disassemble weapons for training or cleaning after a range, I'd never used nor seen a tool used to remove the handguards. The method was always to pull down on the delta ring with one hand and remove/install the handguards with the other. I've done this with well-used M16/M4 rifles and brand new (still in the grease) rifles…including an AR I bought at a gun show recently.
Is this tool usage just a civilian thing? The 1st time I saw one was when I was browsing a sporting goods store after I retired.
I use my hand;)
you must be the only person that has an issue with my comment… my point is that he is filthy rich and deserves to be, therefore he can smile all he wants. I would smile all day too if I had his bank account. I'm not sure how you missed the point of my comment… are you retarded?
…and your point?
i am soo getting this tool next time
He never stops smiling… do you know why? because he's filthy rich, he lives the dream, he never has to worry about anything ever again, and That's the way it is.
And thats the way it is.
What about on piston driven AR-15s ?
quit being a little girl and use your hands
straight and to the point… good video!
I love how he always says "And that's the way it is!" at the end of each video. Always enjoy these, much appreciated!
@WaCkO744 Very true, surely though you know just as well as I do there are stupid people among us who would maim their rifle (or themselves) with hand tools. I remove mine by hand, but that first few times I broke it down-whew-couple of foul oaths flew from my mouth.
@txstang84 Your right. My dad was a marine,I was born on base,so I learned how to do alot of this stuff without the tools, but you are right,if I were doing several per day,I would use the tool for ease. If you dont want to use your hand, and dont want the tool, you can use the channel lock methos as shown in another video i seen on here before.
@WaCkO744 (1) not everyone likes the potential of gouging the finish on their rifle (2) If you do that shit more than a few times within a day, like if you're an armorer, or some newb in the military tagged for M16 cleaning detail-which sucks btw, tools like that are nearly indispensible…and the screwdriver-see reason (1). Besides, he's advertising 😉
But before you go out and buy this tool watch: "removing an AR15 handguard" by mEnTL32

ar 15 worlds most customizeable gun. wouldnt have it any other way
thank you larry, great tip, nice rifle.
