This is the 3rd video in this series of 3. In this video, I explain how the mounting system of the Unique AR’s works and is installed. These hand guards are awesome and their quality really speaks for itself!

  1. just FYI… FWIW and all that… I know this is kind of an older video, but for the sake of how to use a torque wrench properly… if you ad an extension in line (like you did at 7:55) the wrench is actually reading lower than the amount of torque you are applying (think leverage- longer lever less force to lift on one end but multiplied on the other side.) with a torque wrench you have to use a 90 deg. angle to get the actual torque that the reading is showing (it's about trigonometry/geometry sin and cos…) [ see Unique AR's video:

He doesn't explain this, but does it…
If you instal the wrench perpendicular to the extension, you didn't actually "add" length so the torque showing is the same as what is applied. I realize this may not matter so much when you have a range of 30 to 80, but if you're on the upper end of 80 you may be over torquing the nut. If you have a smaller range like on a gas motor of some sort you can over torque in a hurry by using an extension from the point of measurement (the socket end). Likewise if you put the extension on facing the handle (which you couldn't do on a barrel nut) you will actually be under torquing.

  2. I like the blaster for looks and some weight constraint . But if we’re going for use ability here the hex because it’s so light weight . But I don’t like hex at all . My guess is freedom for you my friend. But I would loose the a2 bird cage because freedom + birdcage don’t mix . There’s no freedom in a cage . oxymoron anyone !

  3. if you just set your microphone stand on top of a mousepad, you won't get all of that base noise coming through the mic stand when working on your bench. You just need something to basically not let the stand make direct contact with the floor or your workbench, wherever your mic is at, even a folded over rubber backed carpet.I like all of them, I can't make up my mind. They are all very nice and what a great way to achieve a fresh new look.

  4. I'd throw in on the Freedom Eagle dude. Not much for gadgets n such, but they're all nice. Engraving a guys outfit or other be a neat idea too. Most retired war dogs like crap like that of their specific unit or time spent ect.

  5. i'm definitely putting that "we the people" one they make on my Xmas list. That is SWEET! For what u have currently I'd go with Freedom then blaster then hex (while using a hex mag mag & grip) I am torn due to the awesome weight of that hex as well.
