On Monday at 8:00am, the Montana Senate Taxation Committee is scheduled to Consider House Bill 226.  Please contact your state Senator and urge them to SUPPORT House Bill 226.

House Bill 226 would allow qualified shooting ranges to be exempted from property taxes without having to apply for federal 501(c) status.  By their nature, shooting ranges require a large amount of land, causing them to incur potentially significant property tax bills.  HB 226 will give these ranges an in-state alternative to remain viable without exposure to IRS oversight.

Again, please contact your state Senate and urge them to SUPPORT House Bill 226.
