Hint, more times than not, you are better off ordering your uppers and parts from sources other than the manufacture. Dealers tend to offer lower prices than the OEM manufactures do.
For Nitrited or Melonited barrels, you might take a look at Radical Firearms. The only thing I might upgrade on a Radical Firearms upper would be the BCG. I can build a complete, mil spec gun with a Nitrited 1/7 twist barrel, WMD nickel boron BCG (with hammer), mid length gas system and an aluminum Key-Mod, or M-Lock rail and a BCM Mod 3 charging handle for $750. That is starting with a Radical Firearms upper without BCG or charging handle, since I plan on upgrading them with what is listed above. Again, that total package with the aforementioned upgrades for $750.11 shipped.
