A easy mod, that allows for much faster acquisition of iron sights.
I do not recommend this mod for a rifle that will be using a red dot optic and still have a fixed front sight. It just causes a unnecessary distraction. But if you have a folding front sight go for it.
This mod will work with any iron sights that have a hood or protective ears. AR15, SKS, AK, M1, M14, HK’s, Mosin Nagant, K98, ect., ect..

"Then just.. bam." Lol
Great idea!
Fantastic idea. Thanks brother.
You should complete your sight mod by doing the Fuller rear sight mod to the rear sight.
within ten meters you will get the bullet impacting directly were the point of the front post is when using just the front sight lime the
Love it
I believe the website for the paint suggests brushing clear nail polish over the painted area after it dries. No need to mark up your sights.
Great idea I'm gonna add this to my ar's
If I can find the product again I will give you a link to it. A few years back I moded a Mossberg 500. After shortening the barrel I drilledandbtaped the top rib for a small Allen screw to replace the bead. Then painted a white bead on my side with glow in the dark art paint. Ill try and maybe get a video up of the results…. IMHO the results are amazing in low light.
I believe Brownells has a photo luminesant (glo in drk) paint that comes in the same size vials. For a night system you may want to give that a try as well.
Love it! Great alternative!
Very nice idea. Looks good but it's more like cavemans red dot. An eotech is holographic which projects the sight where it's going to hit from looking at any angle. Red dots ad irons have to pair up with rear sight. Still a sweet idea
Excellent idea brother
i got a frontsight from the contest too..
good idea!
That is nice!
excellent idea!..thanks
neat idea, I may try a version of that.
Very cool. I never would of thought of this. I love it when people think outside the box. Great idea, I am going to do this. Thanks for the video.
I have had good luck with lure paint.
