  1. Hey, whats with the fish-eye camera lens? Admit it, you still believe the earth is a globe. Great vid all the same, thanks for the effort, perhaps you might consider using a 'truth' lens next time though?

  2. I'm wondering, how long ago was this video made?

I just bought my m-4 expanse and mine is an LE prefix; mine has the dust cover, forward assist and came with a colt 30rd magazine.

It didn't have the rear site or carry handle .

Only thing I've added is a rubber butt plate pad for the sliding stock, a UTG iron site with a flip site (2 apertures) a bipod and a 3point sling.

It has the mil spec full auto type bolt carrier and Milspec feed ramps.

I got mine from Basspro in Springfield, MO for $700 and change.

  3. Enjoyed your video, Rad Macks. My Expanse has the LE prefix serial number lower as well, purchased south of your border in Idaho. I expect the early production runs got LE6920 lowers (mine actually was rollmarked M4 Carbine which is nice). I haven't examined Expanses in gun shops lately but expect to see CE prefixes.
Looking forward to your range report. My Expanse functions well with cheap ammo and good ammo. No malfunctions after a few hundred rounds. I did install a dust cover and forward assist for about $20. Pretty easy job, you need a punch to knock out and reinstall a roll pin for the FA and fight with the dust cover's tiny C clamp.

  4. I would have to say you got a good deal and it's a Colt. My Colt LE6920 M4 carbine came in a plastic bag with a film of oil on it same as my oilfield engine parts to me that's a good thing. You did a great job with your video. At that price i'am going to bye 2. Stay safe and God Bless.

  5. I like the fact that the barrel is a 1:7 twist, but no forward assist, rear sight, or dust cover? Both Ruger and Smith & Wesson's budget AR's come with these, and Ruger's barrel is cold hammer forged, both are selling for less than the Colt.

  6. Question, when you got yours was it soaked in some kind of lubricant like WD 40? Mine was, makes me concerned that it might not be new as I was told. Also it has some scratches and/or marks on it.
