  1. I’m a military trauma surgeon. This piece it completely amateur and edited to be political despite claiming to be apolitical. The fact that rifle gunshot wounds are worse than handgun gunshot wounds is certainly nothing new. They seem to imply 9 mm handgun wounds are simply harmless. Many, many more people in the United States are killed with handguns than rifles.

  2. You should have titled the video "terminal ballistics for liberal dummies who think to be educated".
The majority of hunting rifles do way more damage than that, and your granpa's duck shotgun, with the right ammo and at the right distance, can literally remove chunks of people.

  3. Try a NATO .308 bullet next. Wanna make that illegal too? How about a .338 Lapua? Those 2 rounds would put a .223/5.56 to shame; when comparing "forces". So what exactly was the point of this? What message are you trying to communicate?? Because I am confused. Even if you ban 5.56 there are about 15 other bullets that are more powerful and will do worst.

  4. Full blown propaganda for soy boy idiots and women with children to hate a weapon that has defended and saved many lives. Represents American freedoms. It's a huge piece of history for us as a country. All gun owners look at it as that as well a collectors piece from what our Military has been through. We don't think about mowing anyone down who is another unarmed civilian. Not the tool it can't insert it's own magazine. Switch its it's own safety selector and on top of that pull it's own trigger once 30 times mind you. Oh yeah sounds like the gun assisted the guy. Wow.. just real morons in the world who don't want to get educated on issues that would serve their logic and brain a whole lot better if they were educated.

  5. An Ar15 doesn't have a proprietary ammo its .223 or 5.56 used in hundreds of other guns its a pretty weak round in reality its a bullet the size of a 22 with a bigger case full of powder

  6. Guess what I already own multiple 5.56 and 7.62 and 9mm and others so I could care less what they have to think about it, the only way ANYBODY is getting my guns is by prying it out of my dead hands ☠️🖕🏼

  7. It's a high powered caliber round and you can get the same round in a bolt action you Libertard….. The media sure likes cashing in on mass shootings I see. The AR15 is going NO WHERE anytime soon and anyways there are MILLIONS already out there lol!!!!

  8. 60 MINUTES NEVER DID A PRO GUN SEGMENT EVER… I SAW EVERY 60 MINUTES GUN CONTROL SEGMENT SINCE THE 80S AND ITS ALWAYS BEEN ONE SIDED… THEY ARE HOPING AND PREACHING TO A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT GUNS BECAUSE MOST GUN OWNERS KNOW THIS PURE PROPAGANDA……60 MINUTES=DEMOCRATIC PARTY TALKING POINTS.
THIS IS WHY I CANT STAND THE NEWS….
YOUR BALLISTIC EXPERTS ARE NO EXPERTS HOW MANY POSTS ON HERE SAYING THE SAME THING 5.56 OR 223 RD IS NOT THAT POWERFUL SO MANNY OTHER RIFLE RD ARE MORE POWERFUL BUT THIS IS NOT ABOUT THAT ITS ABOUT THAT 60 MINUTES PUSHING GUN CONTROL

  9. An AR-15 is a style of rifle, it’s not a bullet. Whatever caliber ammo you used in your test could have been fired out of many different kinds of rifles. Some AR-15’s are chambered in .22 caliber, the smallest common caliber. Why do crazies choose an AR-15 style? Because they are the newest style. The same reason you buy an iPhone X over an iPhone 3. I don’t own any guns but I’ve been researching the subject for about a month and facts are easy to find. What I’ve found is both sides of the debate are not doing themselves any favors by distorting and misrepresenting the facts.

  10. I'm surprised the phrase "full semi-automatic" wasn't used in your slanted episode. I'm assuming you folks at 60 minutes realize a 5.56/.223 fired out of a Remington 700 does the exact same thing?

  11. If we are the first line of defense what good are bleeding kits when you have super sonic 22 caliber boolits flying at us? Guess we can use the bleeding kit to sop up our trousers until guys show up with ar15a decide to show up? This propaganda was released to help dems in the midterms! They are still loosing.

  12. Will 60 minutes next do a comparison of that 9mm handgun bullet (ONE .355" projectile) to a round of 12 gauge buckshot (NINE to TWELVE .33" projectiles all hitting at once?) As shotguns are very common, it will be informative, but won't help in trying to stir up manufactured controversy toward a ban on AR-15s, so I doubt that would fit 60 Minutes slanted agenda. Remember that ammunition can be fired from any common hunting shotguns that the gun banning left keeps promising they won't take away from you… yet… until maybe later … Shotguns have been used in many mass killings like Columbine, the Washington Naval Yard, & Santa Fe school shootings to name just a few.

  13. Pure Political Propaganda from IDIOTS…
Used Phrase "AR-15" repeatedly as often as they could. When the article is about what happens when ANY Rifle BULLET contacts the human body… It is the BULLET, not the platform that shoots it. Doesn't matter if it is .223 / .243 / .270 / .308 / .30.06 and on and on and on and on… The .223 is considered a weak centerfire Bullet. Compare it to a typical .243 or .270 or .308. You'd think the AR-15 was the ONLY centerfire rifle out there…
Oh bonus points for the Media Broadcast Fairness of "Stacking the Results" of the ballistic gel examples. Notice they fired 9mm ball (round nose solid) ammo, and .223 soft point. Comparing Apples to Pineapples…
