  1. In defense of OTW, when a product is publicized to the extent demand increases, it actually costs the company more to increase production runs while ensuring decent quality control. Not all companies are set up to produce more units. The alternative to paying more is a higher demand that the company may not be able to meet. This happened years ago when several gun magazines hyped the Raven .25ACP striker-fired pistol. The company didn't raise its prices, but it couldn't meet demand. The guns just dried up! The next thing that happened is that quality control went belly up. People began complaining that the guns had fail to feed malfunctions! The guns couldn't be produced in the numbers to meet demand. It was a sad situation in that the guns claim to fame was its price and its reliability in functioning. But for $50 Raven Arms just couldn't meet the demand without raising the price. So learn from them. If the company can meet the demand for thirty bucks, let 'em. Don't expect a small company to produce more product without an investment in tools, people, training, parts, factory and so forth. It may seem a contradiction at first, but would you rather have a product with a low price that's out of stock all the time or one you can get for a good price, works well and is bullet proof durable? Give it the stars it deserves.

  2. On the Tyi 1×40 $12 RedDot.. and others that have RED and GREEN Dots..
I noticed on #1 setting on RED it is VERY DIM… (Indoors even)..
#5 (Highest power) on RED appears to be about the same brightness as #1 (low) on GREEN.

Normal ? Normal the RED not being usable during daytime ?

(I know human eye perceives GREEN to be brighter than RED…. RED is pretty much unusable outdoors… Was sighting down bore to get sight sighted in somewhat and gave up on using RED.)

RED on #1 is so DIM it's looks like it would usable on a NIGHT VISION setup that uses a IR camera…
(Above is with good battery, Power /Intensity knob rotates smoothly and light levels change normally..)

  3. My brother told me that the instructors in SWAT school recommended the Bushnell TRS25 for a budget optic for their patrol rifles if their individual departments did not provide them with optics. My Bushnell has worked for me flawlessly but I just shoot beer cans and paper. YMMV
