Listening to you and reading the specs on the DLC, and NiB, I don't know how they came up with those coefficient numbers, but I have the XPB DLC, and I have a Lantac E BCG, I don't have a lab to do scientific measurements, but in my hands and inside the receiver of my AR the Lantac feels smoother by far even when running completely dry.

  2. I like that you buy uppers without forward assists, it's the right thing to do.

    As for your observations about the fact that Sharps uses the same steel in the bolt and carrier, and this being a benefit, I want to disagree. The reason why is because between interfacing components, you need to decide which component is going to be sacrificial. Surfaces of equal hardness will wear each other out, whereas when surfaces of differing hardness interface, the harder of the two lasts a great deal longer, and the softer isn't worn out much faster than the first scenario.

    I think it's much better than the bolt wears rather than the carrier.
