I have a small problem, this kit fits in all of my AR 15s… except the one I want to use it in. I have an older preban Olympic Arms, I think the brass bushing is hitting on the locking lugs. It stops about a quarter inch before its flush with the upper so you can’t close it. I’m not sure why, but is there a fix? Smaller brass bushing from cmmg? I can’t tell wear it’s actually hitting???
Great Jam-O-Matic – CMMG makes pretty shity stuff.
Don't load 27 round sin it it will jam loa only 25 rounds because 27 fits bit it needs that extra spring to push up
@brownellsinc thank you! I ordered it right when I read your comment, with 6 mags 😀
I have the m&p15 sport. Looking at the stainless steel package with 3 mags. Having no forward assist, but having it on the converstion, will that matter? Will fitting it be a problem?
Do you still need the buffer tube when using a CMMG 22 bolt, or can you get rid of it?
@irangeles thanks
@skrimisher08 No, you can't
@CaribouLou45 thanks mate im thinking upper now might trade in my 10/22 to help fund it thanks agin

will this work if you have a piston system??
if i live in California, can i have a 27 round mag? I've heard different things from different people
The .003 of an inch difference in bore diameter of a .223 and a .22 doesn't make a difference?
@Antiworld23 Cmmg has a lefty conversion now.
@nowthisisstupid 1/7 twist is gonna be way to fast a spin for a 22 unfortunately
@Antiworld23 stag makes their own left conversions now
That guy needs to talk way louder. The gun action was screaming it needs oil. Man…
@Antiworld23 cmmg does produce a lefty for yah…glab they are lookin out for the little guy
Can this be bought in the state of California?
would this work with an Olympic arms CAR-15 16"bbl 1×9 twist?
very interested in this product but im in the philippines. anyone out there have experience shipping this product outside the US? the m4 im planning to install this kit to does have a full auto capability, will it work? or do just use it in semi when the kit is in? the m4's make is norinco (chinese) similar to the ones used by our military and police if that helps. any thought would be greatly appreciated.
@brownellsinc Hope you'll find a way to make that happen for us southpaws!
.22 will fire out of .222/5.56 barrels just fine. However, it won't be as accurate as a dedicated .22LR upper. The barrel diameter isn't EXACTLY the same, and the rate of twist will be all wrong. Still, it's a decent comprise of plinking. Just don't expect match accuracy or anything if you keep the original barrel.
@snakeii0 he didnt touch the barrel so, i soppused that its not needed…
@bazengao
Watch the video…
and the barrel?? doens't it has to be changed too?
Federal is crap if its brought at walmart. The NRA has the same issue with it and they use it to train people how to use firearms because of the issue. Winchester is much better. But thanks to zombies it might be hard to find right now.
Will this work with a Stag Arms AR-15 lefty upper?
Supposedly th eAguila 60 grain "super sniper" .22LR bullets work well in the faster twist rate barrels.
a 40 grain 22lr is overspun in a 1/7 twist .223/5.56
It will still shoot accurately to a certain distance but it will show at longer distances. and for 22lr.. thats like at 100 yards.
some 40gr bullet designs shoot well in 1/7 but alot don't. It is recommended at least 50-80 grain bullets in a 1/7 twist barrel to achieve maximum stability.
